I bought 3 of the 702 devices. The pros: It paired easily and immediately with the phone Bluetooth. It is very convenient to operate Google Maps, Spotify, etc. with the touch screen. I chose to install it in the handle bar which is closer to my hands, making this location safer than a windscreen location. It seems to be made of good quality. It comes with 2 cables for USB, or battery power. Initially, I tried the unit with the USB port, but then I connected it to the battery, (via an EZcan device). The cons: in all 3 units the USB cable stopped working (I thought the unit was bad, but when connected to battery, unit worked). The mount system is way too bulky, and easy to steal. An improvement is needed here as well. I ended up buying a handlebar GPS mount, and doing some adaptations. 3d printed adapter is coming next for a better holding. Summary, I do recommend this product, considering all of the above

I wasn’t sure about this at first because I followed the connection instructions and it’s wrong. If you pair your helmet speakers to your phone via Bluetooth do NOT use the Bluetooth audio output settings on the device, use the apple/android output or the unit will not work correctly. It took some YouTube research to figure this out and I almost returned the unit because of this issue. Once setup correctly this thing is ultra cool, works perfectly giving you great touchscreen control that works well AND it looks great on your dashboard!

After completing my 2,900-mile motorcycle trip, I’ve completely changed my opinion of the Carpuride W702. While my initial impressions were positive during installation and short-term testing, real-world performance on a long-distance ride exposed major flaws that I can’t overlook. The biggest issue was reliability with my Apple iPhone 15. The unit frequently froze, forcing me to power it off and back on multiple times during the trip. At other times, it struggled to reconnect to my phone, which became frustrating when I needed navigation the most. What disappointed me most was how dependent the system was on cell service. Even though apps like Google Maps, Waze, and REVER were still functioning on my phone, the CarPlay unit became essentially useless whenever cell signal dropped. That defeats the purpose of having a dedicated motorcycle navigation screen—especially when riding through mountainous areas where service comes and goes. Since this unit connects through Bluetooth, I expected it to mirror and operate apps from my phone regardless of signal strength. Instead, it proved unreliable in exactly the kind of remote touring situations where riders need it most. To be fair, the hardware itself is solid: the screen is bright, the size works well on a sport bike, and installation was straightforward. But hardware doesn’t make up for software and connectivity shortcomings. If your riding is mostly around town or in areas with strong coverage, this may work fine. But for serious touring—especially in mountainous or rural regions—I would not recommend this unit. Unfortunately, I’m beyond the 30-day return window, or I would send it back. My original review was based on first impressions. After real-world use, I can no longer recommend the Carpuride W702 for long-distance riders who depend on consistent navigation and connectivity.

I finally decided to upgrade my bike with the Carpuride W702, and I'm so glad I did. The 7-inch touchscreen is bright and clear, even on sunny days, and it’s responsive enough to use with my riding gloves on. Connecting my phone for wireless CarPlay was super easy—it pairs automatically every time I turn the bike on. I really like the dual Bluetooth feature, which lets me listen to music and hear navigation directions through my helmet headset while the phone stays safely in my pocket. The waterproof (IP67) build gives me peace of mind when I get caught in the rain. Installation was straightforward, and the mount feels solid. Highly recommended for any rider who wants modern navigation without buying a new bike!

Very nice quality CarPlay screen. I power it with the included USB cable, and it works just fine no issues. Brightness is good even in daylight. It connects very easily and quickly to my phone. I’ve used this in 110° Heat in the sun and the screen didn’t have any issues. Seems like a durable unit. The rubber mount however can become loose in the extreme heat, might have to re tighten once or twice but otherwise it’s stable and holds on well even on very bumpy roads. The lag isn’t bad at all when swiping or scrolling, no delay when for example you pause or play music or skip a track. Good unit. It’s gotten rained on several times now and still no issues. Automatic brightness adjustment works very well between day and night. Good unit overall, no complaints,

***UPDATE 9/25 *** Upgraded to 4 stars based on Carpuride responsiveness and customer service. Carpuride also says that they will work to fix all issues in the future. Also, corrected some original minor errors. *** The unit itself is a 7” CarPlay screen that works as advertised. It does rotate orientation, which is nice. However, a lot of things to know about before considering. For reference, I installed it on a Harley Softail Heritage Classic 2007. 1. MOUNTING: the unit comes with a RAM-style ball mount on the rear of the device + another ball mount for the handlebar. You need to buy the linkage. However, I have no room on my handlebars to mount this in a reasonable location. Both balls are affixed to their respective attachments with proprietary connectors and cannot be swapped out in any easy way (the back plate of the 712 is not a standard RAM/plate size, and the ball itself has a proprietary attachment). The RAM ball they use is rougher than aftermarket RAM balls, and possibly slightly different in size by 1-2mm. I found that, for every aftermarket RAM mount for the bike, tightening the linkage enough to hold both balls in place results in the ball on the device being un-movable without loosening the connection — cannot be done while stopped at a light for example. However, I finally settled on a genuine RAM mount, and it works better (not ideally, but better). 2. NO THEFT PROTECTION: well, nothing beyond ordinary screws. The ball on the back of the unit is held on by 4 small phillips head screws. Yes, the thief would need to find a new mounting plate, but the unit will detach from whatever it is attached to completely after removing these 4 screws. The included handlebar mount attaches with a standard size hex bolt, which can be unscrewed if someone has an Allan wrench (unless you are very certain, and use red Loktite). You can buy a RAM linkage that has some theft deterrent properties, but standard linkages can be unscrewed by hand, and need to be if adjustment is important. There are 4 wire connections to the unit, so if your thought was to take it off the bike, you have 4 connections to undo/redo every time. There is no locking mount available that would build in the connections. 3. INSTALL DIRECTIONS: I had my mechanic install the power and rear camera wiring from the instructions while the bike was in the shop. Instructions say to hook the power to the battery+ and ground, and the red power line connector has a spade lug, indicating that B+ is supposed to be the attachment point. THINK CAREFULLY here. The unit can be turned off, it turns out, by holding a button on the handlebar controller down. But if you hook to battery power as the instructions say you will have to manually turn on/off every ride. You should almost certainly cut the lug off the red wire and tap into *accessory* power instead, so that the unit goes on/off with the bike. 4. CAMERAS: it comes with a front and rear camera and will record a loop until it fills the installed card. The camera mounts appear designed for a car, not a motorcycle: they have a flat base with adhesive. There are no mounting holes in the bases, and the ring attaching the camera to the base is non-standard (not a GoPro or car camera mount). If you try to rig it up to mount vertically (say, to the license plate), you will discover that the mount just barely does not allow the camera to point straight ahead (picture below). I ended up having to design and make a mount for my license plate. I have not found a way to mount the front camera yet. Camera quality is fine, but it would have been amazing if they included software for anti-shake to correct for the bike’s vibration. 5. CONTROLLER: it comes with a wired controller to switch between camera views, answer calls, etc. It’s designed as a grip mount, but it doesn’t come close to fitting around my grips. YMMV. I would prefer a Bluetooth controller, even if I needed to replace a battery once a year. 6. USAGE, ROTATION: the rotation function works and is one of the reasons to buy this unit. It requires about a several second reset of the machine and a manual process (does not automatically recognize orientation). You can only rotate it 90 counterclockwise, which you have to remember, but also, the issue here is the cords. The pigtails attach at the lower right hand side of the unit. If the unit rotated clockwise they would still be at the lower left-ish of the unit, and closer to whereever the wires come out of. By rotating counter-clockwise, you will need several additional inches of slack in all 4 cords that are just lying around when not rotated. Also, the cords are not long enough to hide the connectors either before or after rotation — makes the install look less clean. 7. USAGE, BRIGHTNESS: the screen has an “auto brightness” feature that is acceptable. The screen is very bright and readable even in daylight/high noon. However, it tends to choose to be too bright at night. You can control it manually, but this is not incredibly convenient. OVERALL: it works well as a CarPlay screen, the screen is reasonably responsive (not laggy), and it’s readable in daylight. Customer service has been responsive and very good in helping with the issues. I will continue to update as I use it more and hear more about potential fixes.

Problemas de CONECTIVIDAD resuelto. Resulta que se me desconectava constantemente el carpuride de mi celular y el problema no era del aparato, sino del celular. Mi celular se desconectava del WiFi del carpuride para buscar otra red con acceso a Internet. La solución fue salir de la casa a una distancia lejos de la red WiFi doméstica, desactivar mi WiFi de celular, volver a activar el WiFi y conectarme nuevamente al carpuride, asunto arreglado. No se si pase igual con otros celulares pero con el mío fue la solución.

Works well! The camera is a must if you ride a motorcycle. It's great having front and back cameras. and the ability to take snapshots is great

Muy fácil de instalar, lo puedes hacer sin necesidad de ningún Taller. Muy intuitivo, inmediatamente se conecta con tu teléfono, la pantalla muy brillante, muy rápida la conexión entre este CarPlay y tu teléfono. Me gusta que es un sistema espejo, no es un GPS, simplemente replica lo que tu teléfono tiene así que recibes mensajes, ves tu música, puede ser llamadas, etc. si tienes iPhone es compatible con Siri. Muy recomendable y muy buen precio

Fixed this into my bike - the handle holds it tight very firmly and doesn't shake the screen at all even when I'm traversing over bumpy roads. Carplay screen is very bright at night but adjustable. Not entirely sure how this will hold up during harsher weathers as it's just starting to be Spring out but so far so good.

Se la compré a mi Kawasaki KLR 650 y funciona bien. Me sorprendió la pantalla, se mueve bien incluso con guantes para la moto. Le pongo 4 estrellas ya que no me vino el conector usb y en varios comentarios dicen que sí viene incluido. En mi caso no, y lo tuve que conectar a la batería de la moto.
