I liked it
So honestly itโs the first time Iโve bought matcha. I love green tea and have been drinking โnormalโ green tea for awhile. This brand is inexpensive comparatively speaking to some other 30g products but I thought it tasted great with half a teaspoon to 150-200ml with the water at 80-95c ish. A good whisking makes it froth and blend nicely. Anyways thats that. I say give it a go.

Very small Package. Won't buy again.
I guess I'll enjoy this a few times. Such a tiny package. Next time, I'll pay attention closely, and won't buy imported products. I'll find made in USA.

Gyokuro vs Tencha???
I drink a LOT of matcha, made as usucha, using the traditional bowl & whisk method. 2 grams matcha, 2 ounces water, at 170F. This one I am kind of on the fence about drinking again. I bought it because the 50g bag was really inexpensive, and on sale, but it seems you do get what you pay for. It is what most claim...Organic Stone Ground Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder - First harvest, etc. BTW, there is no culinary vs ceremonial matcha in Japan, there are many grades and levels of quality and purpose, not just two, which is just Western marketing nonsense. It does have a nice mild vegetal scent when you open the bag, but not the "sugar-snap green peas" scent I go for. The color is a bit drab, both in the bag and bowl, as you can see in the photos, both taken w/o flash or enhancements. But it's the taste and mouthfeel that counts. It did foam up easily, I'll give it that. And it is not gritty or chalky, which is the death kiss for any matcha. BUT, it is very tannin tasting, especially in the aftertaste. I don't mind a little bitterness, or citrussy sparkle, but this flat out reminded me of over steeped tea. Not balanced out with sweetness, greenness, or umami. This tea is from Shizuoka, and I have tried, and enjoy several matchas from that tea region, and I find them more pleasantly assertive than most Uji, Kyoto matchas. This is however, the first matcha I have tried that is made from Gyokuro vs Tencha prepared tea leaves. Like Tencha, Gyokuro is also shade-grown, but for a slightly longer period typically three to five weeks. This shading boosts L-Theanine levels, supposedly giving Gyokuro a much sweeter, umami flavor, which was totally lacking in this matcha. The main difference is that Tencha made into matcha has the stems removed, while Gyokuro does not. Those stems make the ground powder yellower and maybe don't have the flavor of the leaf material. I don't know if it was the processing, transportation, storage or what, but I would be disinclined to buy any other matcha who's claim to fame is being made from Gyokuro processed tea. I try to be objective with all the matcha I try, it's kind of like doing a wine tasting for me. Maybe I will try this again in a week or so, no sooner, as I still have that bitter taste in my mouth, and in my head. EDITED/UPDATE: Tried it again, still has a lasting unpleasant bitter finish and aftertaste. This tea is not for me.

Not good!!!
the matcha powder color is lean more yellow than green, i tried it one time and have to throw away the rest because the taste does not seem right ( sour), also the expiration date is literally less than 2 months away from the time i received the product. Very disappointed!

very good quality
I am an avid matcha consumer, mostly in teas and I can tell you that this kind is one of my favorites. It is a bright green in color with a slightly less bitter taste than other brands and an almost flowery scent. The box is very small but it goes a long way

Expected better quality
Image is misleading. When mixed the matcha is not the vibrant light green color shown in the picture. We all know that color says a lot about the quality. The information makes you think it may be good quality and just a fair price but I guess thatโs why itโs priced at that price point. I did not like the taste or quality.

Wow
Such good matcha. I was an loyal fan of Two Hills until they discontinued my favorite matcha, but now, after trying so many brands, I have found my new matcha. Beautiful, rich, green color and equally rich, flavorful taste. Highly recommend!!

The believable brand for your choice of organic matcha powder
Although this is my first purchase on amazon.sg, iโm very satisfied with the service and the quality of product. The item was well packed and delivered within 3 days. I used organic matcha powder for making some kind of healthy cake. The matcha flavor made my cake just nice with the great fragrance. My choice for Otsuka green tea Co from the seller Anniversary worl on Amazon is completely right! So i highly recommended both the brand and the seller for an outstanding tea experience.
