We call this the chicken house. When looking for additional space for our flock of 4 I wasn't sure what type of run or structure to get that would keep the chickens in and our cats out. Took a chance on this coop cage. It was just the ticket. Pros: * Easily put together * Ample space for a small flock * Existing coop fits inside *The chickens stay in and the cats stay out (along with other unwanted critters) Cons: * The building was easy to assemble, but the chicken wire required an additional person (minor inconvenience) * The latch to close the door is finicky and my daughter (9) has trouble getting in and out * Stakes are not provided. It's a lightweight coop and a big windstorm could topple it

I purchased this coop to give my cat more space to roam in the backyard, but to keep him safe from the other critters that roam our neighborhood. It took my friend and I about 4.5 hours to build. Quick pros and cons: ~Pros~ - Both boxes delivered at the same time (make sure you get 2) - Pretty sturdy free standing structure - Simple and straight forward instructions (for the most part) as putting the frame together was easy. - Very large and plenty of room for cats to roam inside. The chicken wire also keeps larger leaves from falling into the coop. - Gives my cat safe outdoor time ~Cons~ - Do NOT use the zip ties given to you in the package. They're brittle and will break easily when exposed to the elements. My cat broke out of the coop many times because of this. I switched to extreme weather zip ties to combat this issue. - As many people mentioned before, the chicken wire is not pre cut to size. Most of our assembly time was spent on this step. - Chicken wire is very maleable. Which made it easy for my cat to escape out the bottom. I reenforced the base with more zip ties and the green wire that they provide in the supplies box. I wouldn’t recommend this coop if you plan on using with dogs or larger animals unless you purchase stronger chicken wire. - There is a gap between the door and the frame. If you have small cats, it could be easy for them to slip through. I used pipe insulator on the gaps to prevent this from happening. Overall, I’m happy with this coop. I had my trials and tribulations, but it was worth it considering the peace of mind it gives me for my cat. Just keep in mind the cons before purchasing and whether or not they might apply to you.

Kit comes in two separate boxes and may arrive different days so don't get too worried if you only get 1 of 2 or 2 of 1. :) Kit frame snaps together and is stout as the wire is installed. Plastic wire ties are included to hold the green coated metal chicken wire in place while using included bailing wire to tightly connect the chicken wire to the frame. The gate clamps together and is a bit wobbly until it is completely tightened up but it will work just fine. The designer of the kit thought of everything and was sure to include plenty of chicken wire and bailing wire to get everything covered. Even includes a nicely fitted tarp to provide shade to 1/2 of the pen. I'm sure the life of the cover will be limited but that's expected and could be replaced with something more permanent. I would highly recommend the kit.

Overall this coop was very easy to put together. I was pleasantly surprised to have enough chicken wire to go around and a bit to spare. The only problem we had was when it rained (a lot) the tarp + wire wasn’t strong enough to repel the water from the flat top. So we had to go in with a broom and push it up from the bottom to drain. We fixed the issue by using trex deck board and spanning the length. That way water couldn’t pool. But overall it’s a nice coop with a little tweaking *after purchasing a second unit I did not receive the current size chicken wire. I received a 4 ft roll and this type of assembly requires a 6 ft roll. I contacted the seller twice to obtain the correct footage of roll and twice I was sent the wrong item to replace the wire. After the second wrong item was received I called for a refund because now I have to purchase the right size chicken wire roll to continue installation. The seller offered me only a 35% refund, which would not pay for my out of pocket expenses for the new roll. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told someone would call me back. That was 3 days ago and I still have not heard anything. 1 star because no one can fix the issue and now I have to spend more money to fix it myself.

This is a very high quality piece that snaps together and comes apart easily as well if you need to move it. The part that took the longest was the mesh that has to be manually formed to the hut. The wire mesh is coated with protective coating and is high quality but it does take time to install that. The basic frame of this snaps together in no time flat but the wire covering is going to take time. Once you have installed the wire coating then taking this apart again may not be something you want to do. If you put a tarp over the top for weather then be aware that the center of the top will dip in and gather water in the tarp; this is because this has a completely flat top that flexes with weight. If you want this to have a tarp on top and be water proof then you will have to alter this design to have more rigidity down the middle of the top or you will have sagging tarp full of water on top down the middle. I altered this by placing a metal pipe down the middle of the top and wiring that in place. This still didn't totally solve the sagging problem with tarp + rain. A note to manufacturer, this thing is a great design but I think if you had pitched roof with center support then you have a perfect product. The full size door is pretty great and latch mechanism is quality as are the hinges that clamp to the metal structure. The roof! Please design the same thing with a pitched roof. Note: I was missing one piece and contacted the seller who sent me the missing piece. They offered discount but I didn't take it because I just wanted the missing piece and I was happy with the response and the product. This is a high-quality product.

the metal poles are very easy to put together and instructions were decent to understand , the chicken fencing material that goes over it is junk and very to put on and its not very sturdy it can be torn very easily . The sun shade that comes with it is useless because the water just puddles on it and will collaspe the run . they do provide plenty of fencing but the zip ties are junk i bought heavy duty ones and used the coated wire it came with . it took around 10 hours to put together , for the money its a ok product but honestly shouldve just spent the money and made it out of wood or bought premade kennel panels .

The metal frame snapped together easily. It was a bit more tricky to wrap it in the chicken wire and easier with 2 people. I felt I knew what to expect from the other reviews and was prepared to wrap the bottom with another layer of mesh that spread about a foot onto the ground and then laid heavy stones on that to keep predators from digging in and so far so good. I got the one listed as 18’x6’ was surprised that the front/back width was about 8-9 feet which was longer than listed so we needed more stone but glad for the extra space inside. We spray painted it to better camouflage in the trees and made a larger ‘yard’ with an electric fence to give them more space to scratch when I want to let them out of this space. We did not fully enclose our chickens in the past and lost some to predators and I am much happier with this set up. The chickens seem happier too because they are laying more often. We only have 4 right now but it could easily hold 8-10

Amazing ! Got it for my baby ducks😊 super easy to put together and stability 8/10. I would say get your own wire to put around, the one it comes with is flimsy and thin. I got the 9x12x6.5 which was a perfect size for me!
