Best Automatic Feeder
My setup, 100 gallon freshwater with solid plexiglass top. I've tried several automatic fish feeders and was never impressed with quantity control, settings, or both. I've been using the Fish Mate F14 for 3 years now and have had so many issues spilling food and wet food. My tank only has 1 hole drilled in the top so humidity is always an issue. After buying this, I would have paid 3 times the price. The unit is sealed and is feed through an automatic door into a funnel. It works perfectly, I do not need to refill it every week and the spot for desiccant packs is great too. Highly recommended!

Doesn't work. There is no product support when there is a problem
There is no manual available on line and there is no way to get ahold of product support. I cannot program some of there features and there is no help.

Works as intended, instructions not fully intuitive
Last update: still going strong. Too bad they don't sell them anymore they are great!Update: it's been over a month since I purchased it to use with my fluval 9 gallon. Still working well. Fish are happy, I will never over feed again.Power has gone out a few times (only a few hours) due to weather but my fish still get fed and the timer keeps it on track. I have yet to refill the hopper which is nice since I know I'm not over feeding my fish. Will be buying another for my other thankPurchase date review: I just bought and put it into use, I will update more if need be.I will admit I'm the worst and remembering to feed my fish and this is to replace my rotary feeder, which was messy.Unit gets 5 stars, instructions -1 Star.Pro: large capacity, currently holding 2 bottles of bug bite pellets, but could Hold more. Quiet. Comes with lots of parts. Battery back-usb. Set it and forget it. Clean dispensingCon: no usb plug just the wire. you need to provide your own desiccants.Instructions are not easy to read but gets to the point. What I had to figure out was intervals. An interval of 0=unit operates daily, 1=every other day, 2=every 3rd day and so on. Basically it's the days between feedings. So far so good.

This thing has a small feeder portion, but you can feed 999 times per feeding
The media could not be loaded. I bought a different screw fed feeder and had to return it because it fed 4 pellets to my fish each feeding and they would certainly die after a week of malnutrition. This one is also small and I thought it might also not work but it has programming options that make it perfect for my needs. I have a youtube channel called vanderwandegardens.com where I'm doing aquaponics where the Tilapia live in a IBC tote and I pump the enriched water up to my garden. I want to go on vacation some day and would like to come home to alive fish and so I bought this feeder. I usually grab a handful of food and toss it in the tank but this time I grabbed a handful and put it in this feeder to see how many feedings it would take to offer this serving size to my Tilapia. It was 8 portions, one at 8AM and another at 8PM and this thing does it! It's easy to program. It's easy to mount. It's easy to use cardboard to make a hopper big enough for a week's worth of food so this one is a winner.

Needs cleaning otherwise will stick
Nice product overall.Good setup and being able to time feedings which has worked great because I travel a lot as much as being two weeks in row away and have come back to find all fish alive meaning that the dispenser works.Drawback is that you have to check the opening drawer regularly otherwise food blocking the sliding mechanism to open the drawer will cause it to stick thus resulting in no food being dispensed.I have silica packets in the food compartment.Using a toothbrush helps to clean the mechanism

Top rate vacation feeder
Nice food delivery with lots of options. I really like that the meal times and settings are saved even when you remove the batteries between trips. So program it once and you are done. All I need to do is add pellets, pop in 4 AAA batteries, and set the time before vacations! I would definitely recommend a magnetic feeding ring to catch the food when it comes out or food will be sucked into the filter. I bought a second unit in case the first one fails before vacation and will update this review if that happens sooner than it should.

Great auto feeder.
I purchased this product to feed my fish while I was away for 10 days. It takes 4-AAA batteries and easy to set up. I used pellet food to avoid clogging of the system. I don’t recommend flake food because it can easily stick together with high humidity.I can safely say that it did its job while I was gone. I suggest that you check how much food it’s dropping to appropriately feed your fish. It has a couple of small “baskets” that will help with the amount. You can also feed multiple times a day. Great purchase.

Setting the time of day was easy. Then everything went downhill. Way downhill
The instructions to set up feeding times, volume, etc., were written by someone for whom English is clearly not their primary language. Between that and the fact that I use flake foods -- and multiple reviews told of major problems with that food form -- I hit the return button.... a painless service for which Amazon is deservedly famous.
