I bougth it because i had one already as a present for my neighbour who had been very impressed when I invited him for sushi.. After 2 days of receiving it he made me sushi :) so easy to use, to clean, it doesn't get mouldy... great product.

Good idea but terrible execution. Too weak to shape the sushi roll properly. Ok for home use but makes ugly sushi unsuitable for use at a professional environent

this is great for making maki rolls both sides -with nori at the bottom and rice at the bottom.after you finish you just wash it with warm water.

I had been looking to buy the silicon makisu for some time then found it on Amazon and could not wait to try it. As a professional sushi chef and teacher, I thought it would be great to use in class and for events as it looks so cool...Much was my disappointment when I used it for the first time. It is useless and a complete waste of time. Dont waste your money! Its too flimsy and does not do as promised.Stick to the traditional, trusty old bamboo mat and cover it with clingfilm and you can make all the sushi rolls you need....
