Nice good angle, no bent corners
Yeah it give a good view fits well to the newer frame.

With the help of this lens I can film wider shots
I knew exactly what to get and I have the newer cage that this lens fits on and I can say it makes a difference while filming because it enlarges the angle quite a lot. I feel mostly interiors for real estate where I need to get as wide as possible in order to fit everything in the frame and we have about this lens I can do that. If it's properly on the cage that I have basically I just have to screw it make sure it is locked properly and then the functionality of it is as it should. I like the fact that he doesn't distort that much the video especially at the edges and the quality of the video that I got using this lens it is the same as if I wouldn't have it on. Overall this is a good product that does exactly what it has.

S25 Ultra - vignetting in corners
Using the Neewer cage on my Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra I get vignetting on images taken in landscape orientation. This can be cropped or edited out in post but it is something you should be aware of.

Impossible to adapt.
In the description is said that the item is suitable to iPhone 13 mini, but is not. I have the feeling this item has been re sales with missing parts. There wasn’t any manual included. The case presents a white stain mark. The lens itself is in great condition. But I believe there are some missing parts and it’s impossible to adapt the lens to the device.

Quite a gem
My first impression was very positive, as this arrived in a beautiful leather look padded case with custom shaped foam inside. I haven’t seen that before, even when I have paid £1000+ for camera lenses. It also comes with both front and rear covers for protection, along with a cleaning cloth, which is a nice touch. The lens feels well made with an all metal construction. I was a professional photographer for many years and I have no complaints at all about the build quality, which seems to be a recurring theme with Neewer. They don’t cut corners on the construction quality. To use this on my iPhone I had to purchase a separate 17mm thread adaptor and that would fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max that took a while to arrive. Do not think you can simply attach this to your phone though, because it won’t work without some kind of screw mount adaptor. Once I had acquired the adaptor I was able to test this properly and the real acid test for me is how it would compare to my iPhone Pro Max using the built in 0.5x setting. The obvious initial difference is that iPhone by itself was limited to 12MP for still images, even in Raw mode, whereas using the Neewer adaptor lets me work at 48MP. Moving on from the file resolution, I was impressed by the sharpness and lack of distortion. Several years ago I purchased a 17-35mm zoom for my full frame Canon that suffered from horrible edge sharpness, unless I stopped down to F16 and I would favour this adaptor on the iPhone every day of the week. So far I have only used it with still images, but looking forward to trying it on video as well. I have little doubt it will open up further opportunities for creative shooting, alongside all the convenience of using the iPhone in so many situations.

Great quality lens for phones
It’s taken me a while to experiment with this lens, but I really wanted to see what I could do with my phone’s camera, rather than go out and buy a separate camera to take great shots. This lens is an 18mm 100° wide angle lens, offering 0.5x magnification. It’s made from metal and has a great build quality. It gives impressive wide angle shot that can’t be achieved by the phone itself. It’s an excellent bit of kit, and only limited by my abilities as a photographer :-) The still image is sharp with no distortion (I’ve not tried it with video yet). It’s great that these lenses are available and that phone cameras have come so far they can replace the traditional camera for most people. It’s supplied with a travel case with moulded foam insert to give the lens protection and it comes with a front and rear lens cover to prevent the lens getting scratched or dirty. You will need a 17mm thread adapter to attach it to the phone and do remember to check compatibility with your phone before ordering.

The quality and build feels good.
If you appreciate photography, having this extra lens is a great thing to be able to use. It definitely seems to make pictures taken better and it seems to improve things too. The quality and build feels good also, the lens feels well built and robust, so you feel the overall build is good. I feel Neewer are known for producing good quality items and for me are a trusted brand in this field, having had items from them in the past and being impressed. I also really appreciate the travel case it comes with too, which is great to store the lens in when not in use. Overall I am happy with the quality of this.

Excellent lens and works with my Smallrig case
The NEEWER 18mm 100° Wide Angle Lens is a great addition to my Smallrig phone cage. The lens itself is built to a really high standard. It comes with a travel case with custom moulded foam to give the lens maximum protection and has a front and rear lens cover to prevent the lens getting dirty. The lens itself is phenomenal giving an impeccably high quality wide angled shot that just can't be done with a phone lens. Price is fair and reasonable considering the image quality and overall a very impressive piece of kit.
