I’m a “runner” (in comparison to a jogger or ‘recreational’ runner) & conducted weeks of in-depth product reviews on Amazon & YouTube of various treadmills. The point of this review is to share what I learned along with why I chose the XTERRA TRX4500. 1st of all, my budget was up to $1,000 and looking for the best treadmill I can find with the needed features and preferences to meet my need as a runner. If I could have found that at $500 then even better...but coincidentally various treadmill options fell in the $1k+ range. My Required Features: *Horsepower - & Why It Matters: You will see models with an HP from 2.0 - 4.5. The TRX4500 HP is 3.25 & the next lower model (XTERRA3500) has a 3.0 HP. If you are a runner, I recommend not buying a treadmill with less than 3.0 HP. You don’t want to be maxing out the motor speed on a regular basis and believe 3.0 & higher will reduce the wear & tear and strain on your motor as a runner. *Overall Size: The TRX4500 has a length of 60 & width of 20 (60x20). After HP, this was the second most important factor as a runner because I reviewed so many models that many looked very small and limited actual running space. As a runner I don’t want to feel constricted with a small physical platform and the 60x20 is perfect. I could perhaps live with a 55x20 but when I’m sprinting and have to slow the machine down to catch my breath, I find myself using every bit of the 60 length. If ur a walker or jogger then a smaller physical platform is fine. As a runner, I could not buy a treadmill with less than 20 inches in width. *Handle Bar Controls As a runner, having speed controls on the side panel (i.e. handlebars) is not just a nice feature but a needed feature. When I’m pushing myself, it’s difficult to rely on reaching the controls on the main panel. It was interesting that other comparative models did not include this feature. *Pace Monitor As a runner, being able to monitor my pace is very important to me and the vast majority of comparative models did not have a “Pace” feature in their metrics. Speed, time, calories & distance are universal but pace is just as important. *Panel Size & Layout In most treadmills, the panel size & quality is actually a significant amount of the cost. The 7.5 Panel size was larger than many comparative models and very pleased with the overall quality (look and feel) of the panel layout. *Speed & Incline The TRX4500 goes up to 12 mph & an incline of 15 degrees. Getting myself back in running shape but I haven’t been able to even touch the 12 mph or 15 incline yet. I’m running at a comfortable 6.5 & sprinting at 8 right now starting out so plenty of ability to improve. Bonus Features: *Quiet Motor I’m a bit of a skeptic when I hear marketing pitches - especially when it’s on just about every comparative model but when XTERRA said the TRX4500 has a quiet motor - it has a very quiet motor. *Easy To Assemble I’m not a handy man kinda guy and if I had my choice, I would have paid for the assembly just for the convenience but with that said, from the unboxing to be able to use - it took about 40 minutes to put together - and it was fairly simple & straightforward. The directions seemed to misname the type of screws but pretty logical which screw fit in what hole so not really a big deal. It was pretty simple and was skeptical something may go wrong but when we turned it on, it powered right up. *Chest Strap Heart Rate Sensor It actually took me longer to figure out how to snap together the heart rate sensor than the TRX4500. :p. Needless to say the heart rate strap is much more accurate than the heart rate sensors on the handle bar panel and an overall nice feature to monitor. I literally just put it on and it began registering automatically on the TRX4500. *Warranty: Unlike most comparative models, XTERRA offers a lifetime warranty on the frame & motor. Having a lifetime warranty on the frame is one thing but a lifetime on the motor gave me a lot of confidence in buying the TRX4500. Combine that with a 2 year warranty on parts when just about every comparative model only gives a 90 day warranty says a lot on the overall quality of the product. *Machine Weight & Weight Capacity The TRX4500 listed weight is 220 pounds. It’s a nice solid & stable machine weight so it’s not sliding all over the floor when using. The usage capacity is 350 pounds which was on the higher end of comparative models. When u understand that impact weight is much more than ones physical weight grinding and pounding on the machine so having a capacity of 350 pounds reflects the sturdiness of the TRX4500. *Bluetooth Feature: The TRX4500 will connect with your iPhone or iPad. It comes with a connection cable that may be compatible with an iPod or android so bought an adapter for $7 to fit my iPhone. *Lift Safety Feature The lift feature is nice not just for space when not using but also for moving & cleaning under the machine. However, where I believe XTERRA didn’t capitalize on a marketing opportunity is that when you release from the lifted position, the TRX4500 will slowly decline so it doesn’t accidentally come crashing down on a small pet or child. Many comparative models do not have this safety feature. Additional Features (Not Worth Mentioning): Speakers: The speakers on the TRX4500 are adequate if you are plugging in an app from your phone. I read criticism in other reviews of the speakers but let’s be honest...you don’t buy a car for the stereo and u don’t buy a treadmill for the speakers. The speakers work fine but if you want higher-end quality sound then plug in a nice headset from your phone and you’re all set. The Fan: I read criticism the fan is a joke - and it really is. I don’t use it anyways as I’d rather keep a nice sweat going and if I really needed a fan I’d adjust the temp in my house or get a fan in my gym but I don’t see a fan on any comparative model being much different. The XTERRA APP: You can download the XTERRA app on your phone and there is much criticism on its simplicity but this is not a reflection of the TRX4500 treadmill. Don’t like their app then use a different app (simple as that). For me, the panel has all the info I need. OVERALL BOTTOM LINE: Before buying, I was never aware of XTERRA. I compared the TRX4500 to comparative models of MaxKare, Sunny, OMA, Horizon, Asuna, Nautilus & NordicTrack. And even to the next lower & higher XTERRA models (TRX3500 & TRX5500) & my results have found the TRX4500 is the BEST TREADMILL with the BEST FEATURES and BEST PRICE based on competitor models. As an additional testament, the XTERRA TR150 is an Amazon #1 Best Seller which adds confidence that XTERRA’s lower end products are well received and good quality, it should transfer over to their higher-end products like the TRX4500. And after using it, I’m very pleased with the TRX4500. In fact, I find it a better treadmill than the ones I used at the gym where I could feel the roller pins when running. In the TRX4500, the cushion & support are very nice and I know my knees and joints are much better for it. Because I put in so much time researching a treadmill, I went above and beyond in this review hoping it helps the next person who has no idea where to start (like me) when purchasing a quality treadmill. And as a final statement, I have to say I was not paid or a sponsor in any way by or for XTERRA (although they should pay me for this review). :p ---------------------------- JUNE 2025 PRODUCT UPDATE I bought the Xterra 4500 Treadmill in May of 2021 and over 4 years later - this is still the best treadmill ever! I have had absolutely no issues with this treadmill whatsoever. I haven't even had to adjust the belt. This treadmill is just as great as it was when I first bought it 4 years ago. Best decision ever!

First off, I am 58 yrs old, 6'5, and weigh 300 lbs. This machine, in packaging, is very heavy. 250 lbs, long and difficult to get moved around, especially around corners or up stairs. Make sure you have help. The set-up to assemble the machine, un-package it, clear the area, lay everything out, make sure tools and power access are all ready, took about an hour. The machine has the minimum tools required to assemble it, all the parts were there and in good condition. The machine was undamaged, the packaging is excellent and protected the unit very well. The actual assembly was VERY easy, the assembly instructions were clear and correct. Assembly took 45 minutes. **The one problem we have had is: If the machine is plugged in and the power switch is on, but the key is not inserted (in E0 displayed mode) it trips the circuit breaker in our home panel. The 15 amp circuit breaker on the unit does not prevent this. We just make sure the unit is powered OFF when not in use as per the instructions. However, this didn't happen with our other Treadmill.** Regardless of this one issue we have noted thus far, this is a great product, and I recommend it. I have about 12 miles on it this week. It is smooth, stable, quiet, durable, and we really like it. The display is easy to see, and the layout is user friendly. The price was a bit on the higher side, but the value for that price is worth it. If we have any real negative issues in the next few months of use, I will update as needed. This is a very good product, and the company did a great job designing and manufacturing it. ***11 October 2023, 7 months after purchase and still in warranty*** Had a problem with several error codes and impromptu shutdowns. Contacted the company, and they got the info they needed to make a decision as I kept them up to date as too how often it error coded and which codes. They communicated well, and sent a replacement Circuit Board once they decided that would be the fix, as well as an "L" bracket that was broken. I had the part for about 2 weeks, and they were unable to get a technician in the area to do the repair. I finally told them I could do it if they assisted, and they did. Paige, and several other CSR's were involved. I sent pics of the current install, and Paige confirmed it was correct, I then replaced the board using the picture/installed Board as the template. I did the "Calibration" procedure as directed by Paige, and everything seems to be working fine now. I'll verify no issues over the next couple weeks. Not a perfect solution, but if you have a bit of mechanical aptitude, that repair and their assistance is not very difficult. Hopefully, they get more Techs.**

I placed my initial order for this treadmill in mid-May, scheduling the delivery via Amazon for June 8th. The delivery window came and went, and yet I had received zero contact from the delivery company (NSD). I called them and got the runaround from their terrible automated service line. It wasn't until I contacted Amazon, then struggled to get to a live person on the line, and then had them contact NSD for me, did I finally learn that NSD didn't even have my treadmill at that time. NSD blamed Amazon and Amazon blamed NSD, but in the end I got a replacement treadmill set to ship out to me. We'll see if the next one actually manages to get delivered, and *then* I will update my review. What I don't understand, though, is why no one at either NSD or Amazon thought to contact me after this large & expensive shipment apparently vanished into thin air, instead leaving me to initiate the search myself after the delivery window had already passed. UPDATE: I received a call from the local delivery company a week after my treadmill was supposed to be delivered to tell me that they had received it and to ask if they could deliver it the following day. I said no, because I'd be at work that day, AND I had already arranged for Amazon to send out a replacement since it had apparently gone missing. They couldn't deliver the original treadmill because of that, so I had to wait for the new one. What I later realized was that the first treadmill never even got shipped out until the supposed delivery date of June 8th, hence why it arrived at the local delivery depot a week late. Well, in spite of Amazon assuring me that the replacement would be sent out ASAP, and despite the new theoretical delivery date of June 30th, it was of course still late. According to the tracking info, it was not actually sent out until the 30th. I don't understand why they're not shipping these things out until the "delivery date," but rest assured that if you order this treadmill, it will arrive at least a week after it's supposed to. Anyway, I finally got the replacement treadmill a couple of weeks into July (the earliest I was able to schedule a suitable delivery window with the local company), nearly two months after I actually purchased the thing. I opted for the free "bring it into the first room" delivery, because that's where it was going to end up anyway, so that worked out. I had to assemble it myself because I live alone and have no friends (yes, I know...very sad), and while it was doable and I got it put together without any mishaps, I chalk that up to the fact that I'm decently strong and have spent many years using many tools to build and fix many things in a workshop setting. The instructions are clear enough to someone experienced with such things, but I can see how they would be confusing at times to a layperson. It was a bit of a challenge to get this really heavy machine positioned where I wanted it after assembly, as well. If you're not mechanically inclined, and don't have your own better set of tools to use than the cheap junk that's included with the treadmill, then I'd recommend paying for professional assembly and/or getting someone to help you. Once I got it all put together and positioned, I was finally able to try it out. Fortunately, it works perfectly well! It's relatively quiet as advertised, the running surface is decently large, and the controls are pretty straightforward. I'm not going to be using any of the custom programming stuff, nor will I be using the built-in speakers, and the built-in fan is - as other reviewers have stated - a friggin' joke. Luckily, I have better speakers and a better fan here in the room already, so I've got all that covered. I'm just interested in doing some simple jogging and light running while I watch YouTube instead of sitting on my ever-fattening butt while I watch YouTube. Of course, I just HAD to strain a tendon in my knee on only my second time using the dang thing, and I haven't been able to use it since then... :( Once I heal up, though, I'll carefully work myself back up to the jogging and running. I've been patient for this long, so what's another few weeks, right? Sheesh...

This treadmill is solid, heavy piece of equipment that includes incline and a fan. It has a 3HP motor. Directions are clear and fairly easy to follow but do yourself a favor and put aside the time to focus on the assembly. If you rush and not look over the directions you will need to call the phone number provided for assistance. The directions are clear: DO NOT PUT the TREADMILL ON IT"S SIDE TO REMOVE PACKING STRAP AND PLASTIC WRAPPING . The machine needs to stay flat to the floor to assemble. If you lift to put the deck on its side it will spring open and it won't close. Using the phone number with the manual we called Customer Service who responded quickly and sent a video to my mobile phone. The video showed clearly what we needed to do to close the treadmill to complete assembly. Once the treadmill was closed allowing it to lay flat on the floor, it was easy going to assemble the arms to the decking and the console. The machine comes with a packet that includes the bolts and washers in addition to lubricating oil to put under the belt, Utube has directions as to how to apply the oil to treadmill belt. Very easy to do. The frequency of using the lubricant depends on how often you use the treadmill. Minimum lubricating is once a year but as frequently as every 3 or 6 month. When you need to purchase more lubricant you will need oil for Treadmills which is 100% SILICONE OIL. DO NOT USE WD40 OIL. The console has wire connections that are also in the arms to match up. If you find that the console does not come on once the machine is plugged in, you may need to remove the console to check the connecting wires. Power off the treadmill, unscrew the console and then check the wiring connections on both arms. We had one disconnect and once reconnected the console lite up and worked as it should. I would suggest if you have electrical tape, you might want to use if it would help keep the connections in place. Overall a nice machine. This machine is made in China. I was not able to find in the same price range with same features one made in the United States.

This is my second time writing a review about the Xterra TRX4500, lets see if Amazon will publish this one. I am on the verge of returning it, though I don't know how, as it is SO HONKING HEAVY! Did I mention it is HEAVY? Please don't underestimate this statement. Amazon did deliver it on time, unfortunately they sent a rather large man along with a very petite woman to move this monstrous thing, so I had to help. LSS, I was knocked over when the delivery man pushed on it and didn't give me a heads up. This was all to just DRAG this huge thing across my doorway. Later, my wife and I broke it down piece by piece to move it to the other section of the house, then placed the main part on towels so that we could drag it to its final resting spot. Assembly is quite easy, but i do recommend two people because trying to hold the console, connect the wires, and put on the bolts is just to much for one set of hands. After assembling it, I noticed that the left rear plastic cover was damaged. Actually, it was smashed all the way in and crushed. I took pictures and had to pry it out in pieces. Although it looks like it is superficial, I still suspect that this might have bent the rear axle just a fraction, but not sure as of yet. Why am I not sure? Because I am going on two weeks now waiting on a technician to come to my house and work on it. Next was the console. I then noticed that the consoles bezel was scratched up and when I tested the speakers, they didn't work. I also noticed that the belt was to far to the left and at an angle. Not good. Customer support seems to be very nice. I immediately contacted them about the damaged piece and they did ship me a replacement, took about a week. Then when I noticed the scratches on the console and the speakers not working, I contacted them again, and they did order me a new console. This took about two weeks because of Thanksgiving. So that isn't the issue, as getting parts is quite easy and customer service is very polite. I watched numerous videos and read their FAQ's section in order to get the belt tracking correctly. No matter what I do (I am very mechanically inclined) the belt will not stay in the center and always drifts to the right. This is when I contacted them and they stated they would get a technician to our house to service it and make any adjustments needed. So far, this has not happened. But I was informed that if Xterra sent one of their people, it would be a one way 700 mile trip, therefore, they would be sending a contractor to do the job. Nice to know, don't care as I still have not seen anyone. As for the unit, it is sturdy, but it is not level. It will never be level, as I was informed via email by someone one of higher up status that this was the way it is designed. Really? So just know that you will ALWAYS be walking or running at a incline, no matter what you do. That is not good. Even as heavy as it is, if you have it on a smooth floor, it will slide around. We placed it on thick pads to prevent this and also damage to our flooring. The fan is a joke. I mean, why bother? Really. I can't comment about the speakers as mine doesn't work. I am adding this as I have been using the unit. I have had it just shy of a month, so not going to let it sit there and not get used. Does it work? Yes. Does it have issues? Yes. Did I pay a grand for something I use to have issues? Nope. Again, customer support is very nice. That's great. But I am getting close to the return window and I am debating this. Would I buy it again? Not even if it was on sale (which it is right now, $100 less then what I paid for it). I would highly advise you to pay a little more and go with a more well known brand. This is an update: Service Technician came, stomped his foot on it and said the belt was too lose. He tightened it and now it is arched a little in the middle. When I asked him why is it still off center in the front, he stated that it's ok as many are like this. BS. Sent pics and message to CS, haven't heard a word back. I did get the replacement console put on. The mounting holes were at an angle a bit, so it took some real effort to get the bolts in without stripping them. The speakers work, but just as others have said, they are really just noisy and that's it. The face of the console is glued down, and it was coming up in places. Again, I am dealing with it because I don't want to go thru this again. Once gain, I cannot recommend this product and I would not buy it again. Last Update: This is the second time I am placing this update here, because Amazon didn't like the first one I am guessing. I also lowered my rating to 1 star. Although this treadmill is sturdy, I will not be purchasing another Xterra product again. My sister did purchase the 3500, and theirs was not damaged, and I am very happy for this as she is much older then I am. Two technicians showed up to my house on time and were very polite. They also agreed that the back left portion of my treadmill had been 'pushed-in' and damaged, but they also said that they did not think it would cause any serious alignment issues with my treadmill. A few days after they left, the belt is now once again at an angle. As for it failing the calibration test every time, when they pulled the motor cover off, they discovered that the sensor had been knocked lose, and YES, on the LEFT side as well. They said it must have really taken a hit. Regardless, when they adjust it correctly, the treadmill passed the calibration test. These guys knew what they were doing. AS for the company, I sent them one final email. They never replied to my pictures of the damage, they never replied to what the technicians said, no apologies, not anything. They could care less...they got their money. I should have returned it (no matter the hassle) to Amazon, but I elected not to. Again, the product is very well made (though EXTREMELY OUTDATED) but the bad attitude correspondence and the general lack of caring or wanting the customer to be satisfied, NOPE. I DO NOT recommend this product. No now, not ever. 7 Month Update: I have now had this treadmill for 7 months. I STILL would not buy it again and certainly not recommend it. It consistently makes loud, squeaking noises, and I have to lube all of the joints, pivot points, etc about once every 2 weeks to keep the loud 'squeaks' down. I have learned that garage door silicone spray seems to work the best. My belt is as crooked as ever, and if you are a runner, plan on adjust it weekly (loosens up). The other day we had a storm, so I unplugged it. The next morning I went to plug it in, and the plastic outer casing shattered! I was still able to use it, but I did not feel comfortable with the socket just dangling there. I contacted CS, and asked them how much. Surprisingly, no questions asked, they shipped me one for free ($25 on Ebay) and it was very simple to replace. However, it must have cleared the memory when I did (no clue as to why) because when I turned it on, it went to 15 degree incline and error'd out. Had me stumped for a while, until I finally did a calibration and let it run thru its test completely. This set it back to normal. CS came thru, but a brittle electrical plug? Again, I cannot recommend and I for one will not be buying any more of their products. Update to 7 month update: Right after I posted this, my daughter (14) was on the treadmill and started yelling for me. When she pressed the 3 speed button on the console, it shot up to speed 8! I was able to pull the safety key (she will not forget it again) and immediately slow it down to a stop. Seems that the 3 and 8 speed buttons on the console are now not working, or rather not working correctly. Keep in mind, I have never used the programmed selections on the machine. Just manual. If you press 8 it maintains the current set speed, nothing happens except.....it will auto incline to 2.5 degrees. What is that about? But you better beware the 3 button...press it if you want to go from impulse to warp in an instant! Anyways, the up and down arrows on the right control arm work fine...so we both know to press 2, then use the up and down speed arrows to get it into the 3 speed range. And again, when I turn the machine on, it says 1.5 incline and 6.5 speed, until I start manually, then it reverts back to 0 and 0. I have already submitted a ticket to their CS center and they are assisting me...I truly hope they come thru on it. Again, this is a major safety issue....with a $1k machine that is only 7 months old. You make the decision. Update to 7 month repair: CS at Xterra did ship parts to my house, after some emails with me explaining exactly what the issues were numerous times. This is where I also discovered that the down speed button on the actual console did not work either. CS was polite and courteous. Parts arrived in a about 5 days, and it took about a week (following Friday) for a technician from Assemblers INC (sent by spirit fitness) to show up to my house. This technician was the most knowledgeable, proficient, and courteous person I have had yet to show up to my house (this makes three now). He knew exactly what he was doing. Xterra sent me numerous parts, which he replaced in a timely manner all the while explaining to me what he was doing. Again, I am very technically proficient, but I can always learn. He told me that these are good, consumer grade machines. However, when I told him the history of my machine, he told me I should have demanded to receive a new one. He stated I should not be having this many issues with this machine, especially electronic ones. I then told him about the left side taking a hit and then he told me that was consistent with what he observed under the main running board. There are two brackets that keep the belt aligned, spaced, whatever. He showed me that they were bent, both of them. As I stated, he was able to repair everything EXCEPT the display of 1.5 incline and 6.5 speed when the machine first turns on. This is OK, as when you start it, it displays 0 and 0. He stated he didn't understand why it was doing that, but it shouldn't prevent me from using the machine properly. Again, my daughter could have been seriously hurt on this machine. I should have returned it before my 30 day return window with Amazon closed. I will not make that mistake again. 10 Month Update: This thing continues to squeak incredibly bad. I have to oil it weakly now. IT is a good thing that I placed a mat under it to catch the oil dripping off. It isn't the sound of my feet hitting the deck in the mornings that wakes my family up...its the loud squeaking noises. My belt is still canted to the right, and always will be I guess. It is certainly showing wear, and not in a good way. I also think it is about time that I replace the belt on the motor and will probably have to look at replacing the main belt as well within the next 3 to 5 months. It is still bowed in the center a little. For some unknown reason, the BP reading will randomly tell me that my BP is 88 to 98, when I never even use it. The calorie count is WAY OFF as well as the distance. Tried using one of the programs on it and NOPE, way too much crap to do for it not to even save for next time. It still works, and I use it at least 5 days a week...so there's that. I STILL WISH I had purchased a better brand I still advise against buying it. I notice that amazon combined all of the Xterra Treadmills together now...I wonder if they did this to increase the ratings of the company and products? I would certainly look else where. 12 Month Update: It still works. Mostly. 4 days ago I was moving along at 5.5 at just over 45 minutes when it just suddenly stopped and displayed a message on the screen of 'BLE'. BLE? Not a clue, and couldn't find any information about it at all. Yes, it said BLE. I always maintain and lube the treadmill as I should. So I contacted customer support...got an email back asking, 'Do you have a picture of this?' and I replied 'No', I was in the middle of a workout when this happened and it stopped. So far, I have not heard a word back from them. I did restart it and there was no more error. This is quite dangerous. I will update if is any more movement on this. Update to CS. About 4 days later, I received a email from them stating, 'Sorry for the late response, but we are looking into your problem.' OK, great. Another week and half rolls by and I receive a email stating that my ticket is waiting for my input. So once again, in the ticket, they are asking AGAIN for a picture. So it would seem to me that they don't believe that I observed the 'BLE' letters so therefore they aren't going to do anything about it. Xterra, you will never get another dime from me. For those that purchase from this company, good luck and hope you have a great experience with them. I have not and encourage others to look elsewhere. I finally thought I would try their programs. Wow, believe the other reviews about how worthless the programs are. CS was no help either. When I asked questions, all they did was copy a piece of the manual and paste it into a reply. And no, you cannot save your user settings. When I asked, CS couldn't even answer this for me. Also, the beeping..OMG the beeping. It is so loud....so I asked CS if there was a way to turn it off? Their reply was, 'Is it coming from the top or bottom?' Wow. So once I clarified it COMPLETELY they said, no, this model doesn't have that feature. However, 10 screws from the back, lift the cover off and put some tape over the little Piezo Buzzer and it is quite acceptable in noise level. My Nautilus Elliptical easily gives me the choice to turn it on or off. I took a piece of board and laid it across the top of the handles, and use this as my 'walking desk' with my laptop on it. Last week I did 4 miles in two hours at 2.0 mph, and about 1 hour in, I started smelling a electronic burn. I paused it, grabbed my tornado floor fan, aimed it at the front of the machine and continued on. This cooled it down. I am 216 pounds and this thing is suppose to be rated for 350 pounds. As a final thought on this treadmill, I STILL DO NOT recommend this one or this company. As time has gone on, I have experienced longer periods between communications, and the responses have been ridiculous to actually snarky. However, I do have to give it credit: it still works after 13 months of near daily use. Because of this treadmill, I have learned exactly what to look for in the next one I purchase which will hopefully be at least 3-5 years from now. But for those that say 'I don't want the bells and whistles', well, if you spend as much time on the treadmill as I do, believe me, you WILL WANT the bells and whistles. This treadmill does not have them. We all know that the fan is terrible, I mean, really just shows how cheap the company is...and this fits right along with the speakers. I have a pair of $10 speakers mounted, and they sound 10x better then the ones mounted on this thing. The Bluetooth? Ha! I spent $12 and bought a Bluetooth adapter and it works great with my headphones or speakers. As for the fan, I am using a dual fan that sits on the console that my wife used at work for a while. Works GREAT. The strongest part of this treadmill is its motor...no doubt it will last quite a while. But I have also learned that in my case I want a treadmill that will also decline. This treadmill does not do that...on its own. I made some blocks and placed them under the feet, and BAM!, I now have 3-4 degree's of decline. Because I experienced a burning smell from the motor area once, I did cut two holes in the hood and mounted Noctura fans to them. They keep the motor and circuit board very cool. I am happy with the treadmill at this point, but it has been a long, learning curve and experience to get here. For those that have this treadmill already, good luck. For those that are on the fence about buying it, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. Just my opinion. Regardless of your decision, get out there and start exercising!

This is a great treadmill! We wanted one that is quiet and had an extra long running surface. This is it! Easy to put together, though it takes two people. It’s very solid and well made. The controls are super convenient and work well. The only surprise was that it has only an 8 mm hole to plug something in to the built-in speaker. We had to order an 8 mm to USB C wire for our phones but then the sound wasn’t great anyway. Better to just use an external speaker. All in all, it’s great!

Feels like a commercial unit. Compatibility with low ceilings can be an issue with home treadmills - I am 6'1, my ceiling is 90"/7.5' there is no issue even at full incline. Quiet - can hear TV over the motor without needing to turn up too loud. It IS heavy and more difficult to move/install than I planned - The entire base of the unit comes fully assembled and weighs near 200lbs. Be sure to have moving dollies and/or 4 strong people to move the unit into position. The weight is NOT a negative, it translates to a sturdy machine. Assembly is easy and straight forward - 30 minutes taking your time. A helper is recommended to support parts as you start the screw threads. Once in place, two people can move the equipment around by sliding to periodically clean etc. Addendum: After 100 hours of use - still happy. One tip: the machine started creaking especially when raising and lowering the incline turned out to be the pivot points of the incline frame (two pivot bolts on each side). These pivots are dry from the factory- I lubed the pivots - noise is gone. There are you tube videos showing how to do this. I loosened (but did not remove) the bolts to make sure the grease got into the joint (not sure if this was necessary). Then retightened being careful not to over tighten. Also, folding support rod rattles (the square rod with the release pin) - I don’t fold my treadmill, so I just removed it.

Delivery: These are some of my thoughts on the initial few days including delivery and set up. The delivery company moved up the date but kept in touch via phone calls and texts. The delivery guys were great. They brought the package into our garage and placed it where I wanted. The cardboard package was ripped but everything inside was undamaged. Unpackaging: I would suggest after removing straps and top cover to remove all the treadmill components besides the base and set them aside. Then tear the lower box apart rather then trying to remove the base. With the lower cardboard flat you can lift the treadmill to remove the styrofoam from the corners. After this you can lift the treadmill base and roll it off box and set where you want. I waited until final assembly to remove the strap around the treadmill base. You could take it off at this point if you wanted. Assembly: I thought it was pretty easy to assemble. It took me about an hour by myself. It would have been helpful to have someone holding the arms as the bolts are very short and you have to have the arms pretty tight to the frame to get them going. I would also recommend getting a metric socket to fit the bolts. The treadmill came with a stamped wrench and it was shot before I had finished tightening everything. The wire conections on top are very long. Be careful when installing the top display. I looped the wires and pushed them down the frame so they wouldn't get pinched. The top assembly fits fairly tight to the frame. The last thing I would recommend is getting a long phillips screw driver preferably magnetic. Rub a magnet on a regular screwdriver end if you don't have a magnetic screw driver. This is for the final covers around the front lower sections of the treadmill. They are recessed and it is hard to get the screws in through the holes to the frame. Other then that it was not that bad at all to assemble. Initial impressions: Yes the fan is worthless. I can barely feel it but if you need one like everyone said use a separate one. The speakers work, they are a little "tinny" but I use a stereo or ear buds any way. It is very quiet compared to my old proform treadmill. My wife tracked her workout on her Garmin and it was almost exacty the same as the read out from the finished program. Calories, time and distance were spot on. I asked her if the shocks helped. Her knees get sore after running work outs. She said they felt less sore then the old treadmill which doesn't have any cushions or shocks. I ( who am two of my wife weight wise) did a 45 minute walk on the treadmill with no issues. Overall I am very pleased with the price, delivery and operation of the treadmill. I will update after a few months of use.

This is really valuable product but the cost for which we paid....the vendor charged us installation charges separately This should have been informed / or updated as part of product description
