Red Wing Men's Iron Ranger 6" Boot

These are my favorite boots. Wolverine 1000 miles are trash in comparison and I’m not going back to Wolverine after switching to these. They are sturdy, comfortable and stylish.

I purchased these boots when they were on sale and I couldn't be happier! I'm usually a 11.5-12 in normal shoes but read up on these. I ordered the 11D and they fit perfectly. They were a little snug at first but after an hour or two they already felt broken in enough where they were comfortable. I plan on purchasing some arch support but for the most part these do a good job. My feet have very high arches so this is needed for most shoes. I plan on purchasing more Red Wing boots in the future.

These are classic Red Wing boots and they look really good quality out of the box. They do look a little bit too shiny and new if you like your boots a bit worn in and beat up, but give them time and search for images of worn pairs if you want to see how good they'll look in six months or six years. Sizing is recommended at a half size down from your regular size. I already owned a pair of Red Wing Harvester a half size down and had tried the Iron Ranger before so the fit is perfect.

I'm not overly fond of the laces that come with it but that is minor. Make sure that you order something about a half size smaller than what you would normally wear, as this pair ended up being slightly on the loose side for me. Otherwise, it is as great of a boot as you would imagine.

Mixed reviews about sizing, but they do come up long. They should be tight/snug around sides but with to wiggle room. Drop half to full size with these is the correct advice. Best to measure feet in cm and drop size by 0.5-1cm. The EU conversion does not seem quite right. The oiled leather should “give” over the feet but length will not change. Mine were supplied by Scorpion Footwear. I cannot fault their service. Daut was very helpful. These boots are constructed from very thick, stiff leather and will need some breaking in.
