This is an awesome prequel to " The Hunger Games" which is currently available on Blu-Ray at a great price! I was upgrading my D.V.D.'s... actually I thought they were missing. So, when I saw " The Hunger Games at such a great deal I purchased them. The deal was so good it allowed me to get this Blu-Ray D.V.D. 2 for. after finding my missing D.V.D's do I have regrets? Absolutely not! Now I have the complete collection on both Blu-Ray & D.V.D.!!! Actually, for the deal that's going on for " The Hunger Games" Blu-Ray set I could sell my D.V.D.'s & still come out ahead. The sound & visual quality is top notch & the story line compelling setting up the original " Hunger Games" franchise. a plus for any movie collection. even as a standalone film. But with the great deal on the complete original " Hunger Games" Blu-Rays I wouldn't wait around to long. They may cost $100 in the near future. So, get it while its hot. If my review on " The Hunger Games" makes it near the top, cross reference the 2 reviews.

The dvd worked in my American dvd player and in a PS2. The movies are never as good as the books but they are still pretty great

El efecto HDR10 potencia esto de manera correcta. El audio en inglés Dolby Atmos es muy bueno, así como adecuado el español latino Dolby Digital 5.1. Trae subtítulos en ambos idiomas. El código digital es válido solo para iTunes USA.

No slipcover and case has slight wear on the corners. Discs are good.

I read the book as soon as it was released and waited impatiently for the DVD. I'm happy to say it does justice to the print version. It follows the story of a young man with aspirations, ideals and values, illustrating how his world slowly changed him until his bitterness and lust for power took him down a road of corruption, conquest and tyranny. Not everyone who enjoyed the Hunger Games series will find this as cinematic, but anyone curious about the beginnings of President Snow and his descent into evil ways will be happy to add this movie to their collection.
