So..... I took my brand-new palette over to the kitchen sink, and I filled the two mixing areas in the middle with water.After closing it, I turned it upside-down, sideways and backwards, and it lost no water at all. No leaking. No drips.Feelin' pretty good about putting paints in it, with the little sponge provided.

I bought this for gouache paints, the seal on the palette never came off. Its easy to clean and keeps the paint moist for a few days. I don't believe it's completely air tight, but it does the job for gouache. the sponge was nice as it keeps the paints damp. there are also plenty of mixing areas, I like this palette and for the price.

This is a foldable pallet with nicely sloped wells an an adequate mixing surface. The latch is a little stiff to operate, probably because they are trying to seal the gasket around the edge. That fails. I filled the pallet with water , closed it, and tilted up about 90 degrees. The water pours out at the corners. If I squeeze the corner, I can stop the flow. In real life, I don't intend to carry it about with sloppy fluid paints because they would cross-contaminate even if the palette didn't leak. Good paint should stay damp in the well without running. Poorer quality paint tends to powder when it drys out and the dust gets everywhere, so maybe the sponge and seal would alleviate that issue.

I LOVe this tiny, petite palette. Despite it's lovely little size, each well holds quite a bit of paint, so you can get larger paintbrushes in there without worrying about ruining their tips. I wish they had this size palette with three rows of 11 or 12 wells across. That would be my dream palette.I just love this palette so much- I can't recommend it enough if you want something that holds a generous amount of paint, but is also a good size and is easy to store and tote around.

I like the size and the 23 wells for mixing paint. My issue is that the palette is NOT LEAK PROOF! I have tried to get it to seal properly, but unfortunally I have not been susccesful. I really wish it would work but it just doesn't. It looks as if the cover has a slight warp that keeps it for sealing properly. I've tested it by adding water and tilting the palette and the water spills out.

Just got this small palette and already love it. It is perfect for home or travel. It has a removable tray, generous mixing area and plenty of individual paint wells. Very sturdy piece and will stand up to the test of time and travel very well. I recommend this product with confidence.

Seals very tight. Tested it with tube watercolors I had added water to and they have not dried out after over 3 days, so I'm happy. Company was very responsive. The palette I received did not have the sponge in it. I reached out to the company and they sent me a cute little 16 paint well airtight palette with the sponge for free. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks like it too will work well. Was worth the money.

I love how the lid snaps on so that paint doesn’t dry out or spill! I think it will save a lot of paint! If your doing watercolors you can put the lid on and use weeks later to paint another painting!

I like this a lot. Its compact and you can save paint and use it next time.It comes with a moisture sponge too. I havent used that with it yet, but intend to someday.Good quality

I like that you can save the paint on your palette and not waste it. It really works and paint doesn’t dry it when you use the wet sponge

it was expensive . just a simple case at around 20 dollars. but it still useful for painting class.
