Rowlett Retro Regent 4-Slice Bread Toaster, 2.3 Kw, Jet Black

After ny Dualit gave up the ghost after 6 years (and I found their aftercare service to be poor)I searched the net for reviews and settled on the Rowlett.IMO looks just as cool as the Dualit, appears to be better built (something you'd expect seeing that it was originally intended to be used in commercial kitchens) and makes better toast....it toasts the bread evenly(which is a first!)and quickly, meaning you get a crisp outside with a soft middle.It's important to note that the slots on the Rowlett aren't very wide, so whilst it is great for toast, it isn't suitable for bagels etc, so lacks the versatility of other toasters. I'm fairly sure that different models within the range can accommodate thicker items though.Overall : expensive, but fabulous quality and it does exactly what it's designed to do i.e.make great toast.
