Fodor's Essential France (Full-color Travel Guide)

Great size to take with you, when you travel. It is a great book to help plan that vacation to France. The included maps that you can pull out are wonderful.

Bought the book for upcoming trip to France. It’s full of history, travel tips and itineraries. It is heavy to carry around.

I am used to the Fodor's format and I like the format. As a travel guide book, it provides the basic information although I wish it can be more up to date particularly on details about a country's transportation options and how to use each option. (Websites, schedules, etc.) Overall, better than most of the other travel guides available off the shelf.

Makes a nice gift

Great information as well as accurate descriptions of places to go and see.

While I love and have used Fodor's travel guides for many years, this is the first time the binding was so tight, it's hard to get the book way open. It was irritating. Maybe they went with a different printing company, but whatever it is, I didn't like it at all which would make me hesitant to buy their book again. I hope they revisit this issue and go back to their old printing company or go back to a wider margin.
