Yep, this is mesh alright. Most of it is mesh. It's definitely more breathable than a normal hat. If you work outside, you'll be cooler, but you'll also end up with one of those weird looking mesh tans on your head if you're bald.The build quality is mostly very good. The adjustment strap is cheap plastic, but that's no big surprise. They generally all are cheap plastic. The rest of it is fine. My head does fall between two of the adjustment pegs, so it doesn't fit terribly well though.There is one thing I'm not liking thus far though. There was a sticker in the middle of the bill. When I took it off, it left sticky residue and also a darker red circle. I hope that is the residue doing that, and this wasn't left in the sun or something. If it's bleached everywhere but that circle, that's going to be a bit annoying.

I'm always a little leery of ordering a hat with mesh (trucker hat) on the back because you can't touch it to feel if it's plastic or fabric. This hat's mesh is really soft and not stiff. It's comfortable, adjustable, and I'm really happy with it.I wear it in the Jeep, so I'll update later if the boatloads of sun do anything to it.

This hat is so much cooler to wear when working outside because of the mesh fabric! It makes every difference while I am at work! 2 authenticity stickers is nice. Love the "old style" adjustable buttons and really Ballou with the curve of the visor! Perfect!I absolutely LOVE IT!

This is a really nice high quality hat. My husband ordered two OSU hats and I got this one since it is adjustable and I can wear my pony tail through.
