I bought this set as a gift for my friend, who enjoys whiskey and cigars. I expected the glasses to be slightly larger than they were. The glasses and the stones are good quality and will make a nice gift. Don't think of these as ice cubes they reduce the temperature slightly and leaves your beverage as intended without being watered down. I was disappointed based on the description; it states that they come as a set and in a gift box. In actuality, they came as separate boxes - a plain brown cardboard box for the soap stones and the glasses came in two standard boxes with 2 glasses in each. It was not what I would consider a "gift set". If it had come as stated in the description I would give it 5 stars.

Works as advertised. Don't think of these as ice cubes and you will like them. Reduces the temperature slightly but leaves the beverage as intended without being watered down. Recommend washing them before use and either washing the bag or using a ziplock for storage. The bag has some sort of white powder substance in it and I wouldn't think you want that in your drink. The glasses are perfect for serving your finest in and the stones definitely fit into the glasses well. These glasses are small and I don't see one using too many ice cubes in them if you are one that likes real ice. A cube or two would be all that you could use.

I got this collection for the glasses, and always wanted to try the stones. Even when I put 3 stones that have been in the freezer overnight, there is not much difference in temperature. So I use these NICE glasses with my usual single-malt/single ice cube/no extra water and they work out perfectly.

The glasses weren't as large as I thought they would be...however I really didn't pay that much attention when I bought it. I was very pleased with the packaging - everything delivered without a scratch! This was my biggest concern when I purchased this- but again, everything was well wrapped.

Money spent on a nice whisky bottle would be just wasted if the liquid were to be smelled and tasted from inadequate glass. Glencairn glass is the most affordable way not to lose on the enjoyment.
