The zafu is a round traditional meditation cushion with pleated sides. The cover is made of cotton twill fabric. We hand stuff our zafus with natural kapok so that they will not collapse after a few sittings. All our zafus are double-stitched for extra strength and come with a carrying handle. Each zafu is approximately 14" in diameter and 8" in height and weight just over 3.5 lbs (it is one of the heaviest on the market.) The zabuton is filled with natural kapok. The kapok is packed to provide solid support, and yet is soft and comfort. The outer cover is made of cotton twill fabric and has a zipper along one length so that it can be easily removed and washed. Inside the cover, the kapok is enclosed in a casing. Each zabuton is 30" long by 28" wide and may fits people up to 5' 10" tall. The square support cushion is designed to tip your zafu a bit forward or to be placed under a knee or ankle.
