Great pen and very elegant, smooth writing.

This is a HEAVY fountain. pen. This gives it a masculine feel so would be a perfect first pen for a man. In fact it's so heavy it writes better if you don't put the cap on the back of the pen. That's an important detail since most modern fountain pens are light, and balance better with the cap on back. Not this one. It's perfectly balanced if you just place the cap off to the side and start writing. The chrome finish is beautiful. I got the medium nib, and it's pretty big. But it's perfectly accurate even for smaller letters. Writes well on a cotton based paper. I am using one of the black ink cartridges that came with the pen. Surprisingly the ink is very dark and flows well. This pen also comes with a rechargeable ink tank. I will be curious to see if the pen nib works as well with bottled ink. Pelikan is my favorite brand but this nib may be flowy enough that some of the UK inks will work with it. My only complaint is that the machining on the threads for the cap felt rather rough and gritty when screwing it off and on. However as I use the pen more those threads are wearing in nicely and should get smoother over time.

I am a collector. Mont Blanc, Waterman, Levenger, Waterford, Cross. You name it. I am a big fan of Wordsworth & Black. With my first purchase, I was surprised by the pen's luxurious look and feel, as well as its smooth writing. So I bought another. This is my third pen from W&B, and I am a little disappointed. It looks fantastic and writes beautifully. However, the threading between the cap and the barrel is poorly done. The threads are too loose, which prevents them from turning smoothly. One of the things I appreciate about the other two fountain pens I have from W&B is that they are not screw on caps. I don't necessarily mind the screw on cap, but if you're going to do it, do it right. This feels sloppy and detracts from the luxury feel I have come to expect from this brand. I understand the price point is not a "luxury" pen, but based on the other two pens I own from this company, you could have fooled me. Until now.

Well made, attractive and heavy. Wordsworth & Black didn't skimp on metal in the pen.

My husband was a little hesitant about the pen since he had never heard of this brand before. He collects fountain pens and is always looking for something new. He came home from the office excited about how well it wrote. Even waited to sign my work papers until he got home so he could show me how smooth it was.

The pen itself looks and feels amazing to hold. When I first opened it there was great trouble with ink flow but after washing the nib it worked fine. The main issue though is the leaking. This is the second of this pen Ive purchased and both leaked quite badly. There also seems to be some space with the cap design so it will leak out of the cap which has given me inky hands more than a few times while holding the pen unopened. For the first pen that was mostly it, for this new/second one I’ve purchased the leaking was much worse. There was the same issue as before but this time I today opened my pen and a literal pool of ink flooded out of it that was just sitting in the cap. My hands and paper were totally covered in ink and I’m unsure of what I’ll do with the pen. I like it very much but the leaking is quite problem-some.

First fountain pen I've ever purchased. Well worth the investment. I've already made money back from not having to keep replacing the ball point pens. Ink capsules seem to give a decent amount of ink. I haven't tried getting ink from an inkwell yet with the included adapter. Feels great to hold and writes smoothly. Easy to clear up the nib if for some reason it gets clogged by dry ink. While I have not tried other fountain pens, this is definitely a great gateway into the fountain pen world. I'm already looking at other brands and models curious to see the difference in quality between them all. Definitely an excellent purchase for me.

Excelente pluma; el tamaño que yo elegí quizás es para letra grande ( yo la tengo) ya que el trazado es ancho (por eso tarda algo más en secar).La escritura es suave, desliza fenomena y el acabado de la pluma es muy bonito. Por cierto, trae un pequeño libro de instrucciones con las características y el manteniento y, además, una caja con cartuchos de recambios de tinta. En fin, calidad /precio increíble

Arrive emballé dans une jolie boîte. Dedans un bel étui avec place pour 3 stylos. Le stylo-plume (rouge rubis) est fort joli. Heureuse propriétaire d'un Montblanc depuis une vingtaine d' années, j'ai décidé de commander ce stylo pour l'utiliser avec de l'encre rouge (Pelikan 4001). La comparaison se fait entre eux deux et pourtant question prix le Wordsworth coûte +- 20 X moins. Je fais l'essai avec de l'encre pompée, pas de cartouches. Honnêtement je suis enthousiaste. Le W écrit de façon fluide, il n'accroche pas. Peut être qu'avec une écriture très petite les caractères seraient moins clairs avec le W qu'avec le M. . Franchement il n'y a pas à rougir d'offrir ce stylo-plume qui peut faire un super cadeau. Je ne sais pas si il sera aussi performant dans 20 ans mais pour l'instant j'en commande un autre ainsi que et de l'encre sépia. C'est désuet mais j'aime.
