I used these to anchor a railroad tie that we have in our backyard; it sits between a flat section and a sloped section, and kept wanting to fall down the sloped section. All necessary hardware was provided. I strongly recommend using an impact wrench to get the anchors solidly into the ground; we have fairly loamy soil up top, but with a heavily clay-based substrate. I used a DeWalt DCF894 mid-torque impact wrench at the maximum setting, and it got the job done, but would definitely consider a heavy-duty model if you have a lot of these to install.

This product wasn't bad, just was shorter than expected. To get to the measurement advertised, you have to include the upper assembly that mounts to the item being tied down. That felt a little misleading. The screwed in to the ground portion was shorter than what I needed, so I returned this product.

These are the ground anchors I never knew I needed it. They take a little bit to install, but it’s pretty straightforward. Once these anchors are in, they make it very easy to attach to. All hardware and materials seem decent or great quality.

These do exactly what they say they will do. I use the 18 inch version to temporarily anchor awnings and such. They may be a little difficult to install depending on the ground at your location. But once installed, they do work very well. If you happen to have a battery powered impact driver, you should have little problem with them. They come with an adapter to use in most drills.They are made for a variety of use. Attaching a pole via the U bolt. Or running screws through the plate into a variety of materials to hold a sign...etc. I only need to tie a rope to them, so an eye bolt works for me. The size is M8 x 1.25 thread if that sounds like how you would use them as well.I hate to have to say this, but if you are not sure what is buried in the ground where you plan to use these, please do not find out the hard way. Check for buried power, water, or communication lines before you just plant these things. Especially if you use the longer ones which can certainly go deep enough to reach those lines making for a very bad experience. Be safe first!
