The blood test was a little tricky for me to do , be prepared for 10mins of arm exercises. Unfortunately I had trouble getting enough blood the first time ,so had to order extra lancets and antibacterial wipes and re do it . You get two lancets with the kit , so maybe for the price more could be included ?The results confirmed an intolerance I thought I might have plus two other ones , so that was great. Customer service was good , there is a live chat function , they helped me with a few questions I had . Results took 6 days . I would reccomend this test .The breakdown of the test is comprehensive and there was some interesting and helpful information there . Also a list of other names given to dairy products to easier avoid when buying anything prepackaged, this was really useful .

Kit was easy to use but needed more than 2 clickers to get enough blood

Easy to use, tricky to get enough blood but overall, a rewarding experience with interesting results. I have been able to adjust my diet accordingly and am feeling much better within a week.

I m really disappointed. I have ordered an intolerance test for my 3 yrs old little one and i ve got an expired test kit. The expiry date is : 08/2020. For this price i would've expected a bit more notice !I wanna send it back - although don't know who else can use it - and get back my money !

The process of taking a blood sample is relatively simple although I did find myself clotting pretty quickly following the initial prick so good that they give you two puncture devices (I'm sure there's a word for them but I can't think of it right now!)The results came back in around 72 hours which I think is excellent. As it's the only test I've done I couldn't tell you if it's accurate but, I guess as that's LifeLab's business, they'll know better than me.But, and here's the warning, be prepared that the results you get back may significantly change your life. I found that from my results I had intolerances the dairy, wheat and allergies to meat. So now, I have to look for gluten-free, almost-vegan food - not an easy (nor cheap) pastime. Oh, add into that intolerances of mustard and lemon juice and it leaves you with chicken and tuna salads as your staples with the thought of never eating a Greggs sausage roll or a Krispy Kreme ever again! Plus, trying to find somewhere to eat out - planning a moon landing is probably easier.So think on before you try this - I had reasons for taking the test but, honestly, I wish sometimes I hadn't as I can't really say I feel any better. Don't get me wrong, I kinda knew that I had an issue with milk and eggs because I always felt rough afterwards but now I'm limited to oats, rice and potato starch I feel like I'm walking around with a medicine ball in my stomach as everything with a dough is just so dense and heavy now. Having said that, it does make you realise just what crap you're putting inside yourself when you constantly have to check labels for ingredients.So, yeah, great test but ask yourself if you really need to know...
