SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-II USB-C Card Reader

WOW. This really is a must have little device. If you are taking video on a digital camera the files are huge so you need a fast device to transfer the files to computer. This does just that and utilises the now standard USBC Connections.

Impressive transfer speeds, as expected from Sandisk. Files are uploaded before you can say "jam butty". A flawless performer. Tends to heat up when there's a card inside but I always remove my cards immediately after transfer anyway. Recommended especially if you're using the latest fast SD cards and shoot raw. My previous reader would often lose connection and require a bit of fiddling about round the back of the computer. This one just runs perfectly. Just wish it had a longer cable for my setup but that's a minor issue.

Bought this to import photos from SD card to apple photos on iPad. Good quality and works exactly as expected and is much cheaper than official Apple.

I trust SanDisk and a few others with my memory cards, removable storage and card readers. When using memory cards and card readers, there is the risk of loosing or corrupting data. There are always cheaper alternatives out there. What is your data worth to you? SanDisk recovery software is good if the worst happens, I have saved my images using this method when I used a cheap card reader at work. Lost my work. I now use a trusted brand card reader of my own to look after my files. This version is good for a Chromebook or laptop or a smart phone. It's fast and effective and I don't hesitate to use it. The cable length is short and thats right for me. It won't get knocked out from my laptop with a slight tap. Made of rubber and plastic.

Brilliant product and very quick file / image transfer ; unfortunately it has stopped working for me after a few months of use - maybe 15 plug ins or so which is a shame, I suspect this to be a faulty item opposed to a poor design. Tried to email direct to discuss but unfortunately this was the only means of communication I could find on amazon to the seller. Hope you can help

Works great. Its the fastest data transfer cord I own. Videos that used to take me 10-15 minutes to transfer now take 30 seconds max. Super useful for a quick transfer. Also super high quality material. Not cheaply made or cheap feeling at all. Highly recommend after all the research into these things I did. By far the winner.
