I originally purchased a slightly smaller version (6x4 x9mm) of this mat August 2020. I liked that it was extra large and 9mm thick. It was the thickest mat I could find at the time. Fast forward to 2022 and I just purchased my second larger mat (7x4x9mm). Originally I thought the larger one would replace the smaller one because I had the room in my home gym and wanted a little extra mat coverage. But I ended up using both for extra cushion. My home gym is in my basement on a concrete floor - I have interlocking foam exercise mats down over the floor - but still had to use extra thick yoga mats because it was very hard and uncomfortable. So I originally purchased the smaller mat to lay over the foam mats for extra cushioning and comfort. Usually I prefer to workout barefoot - so the Sensu mat was perfect as it had good texture and grip but not too much to hurt your knees when you pivot or twist. And the grip is great for holding yoga poses without slipping off the mat or wearing yoga shoes/socks. Not only does the yoga mat come with a zippered carrying bag and velcro wrap straps, but also a comfy microfiber yoga towel which is perfect for sweaty yoga sessions. It also rolls up and stores away neatly - but I leave mine out all the time unless I am using a different piece of equipment (like my trampoline or pilates chair) so it doesn't leave marks or dents in the mat. Fast forward a few years to when my arthritis has gotten worse and I found out I need foot surgery - I ended up purchasing another mat to cover more area (because its that comfortable) and because the only way I can work out now is barefoot. I ended up lying the smaller mat over the larger one and it is twice as comfortable, especially on my sore feet and joints. I sometimes skip extra cushioning for pigeon and child's pose because its that cushioned and comfortable. So one mat is great for anyone and the larger size makes sure your entire body stays on the mat. Its great for anyone who wants a comfortable non slip mat for circuit training, yoga, walking workouts, etc. But if you have arthritis or sore joints or hips - then doubling them up makes it that much better - like you are on a cloud or super soft cushion. Anyways this yoga mat is great. I would highly recommend it. It is well worth the price and so far has been proven to be very durable. I work out at minimum 5 days a week - so it has definitely gotten its use in but its awesome, especially for yoga or barefoot workouts!

I bought this product because the size was just what I needed and the price seemed reasonable. I have been using the product for almost a month, and I feel ready to give an honest review. This product is very good, I especially like the size of it. I also like the texture of the mat and it's pretty comfortable due to the good thickness of the mat. The only drawback is that it is not too easy to be carried around. I think it is something unavoidable due to its large size. Considering how big it is, portability is not too bad. But, it's also true that I have to kind of drag it on the ground when moving it because the mat is taller than my height. All in all, this is a great product, and I am very happy about my purchase.

This mat from Sensu has completely transformed my exercise routine in ways I never expected. This mat is perfect for yoga and large enough for 4 yogi's! It's thick with plenty of cushion, it doesn't slip and neither do we. When I place a heavy bench or weights on it, it dents a bit but only temporarily. It bounces right back. Only rubber mats do this in my experience and the smell of rubber mats is unbearable. This mat has absolutely no odor, which is a very big deal.

This mat is amazing! It is nice and thick for plenty of cushion while doing yoga or working out. I needed something a little thicker for floor exercises and this mat is by far the best one I have ever had...and I have had many. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great thick mat. I bought the large one to cover almost half of my garage and it fits perfect for what I was needing.

This is a very nice mat. It’s thick and has ample cushion for jumping. The only trouble I have with it is that it’s hard to move a weight bench on it…which it’s not really meant for.

I've been having a problem with my yoga mats recently that my hands and feet slip on them. This one is *really* non-slip. This has made a HUGE difference in how easy it is to do the postures. Also, it is noticeably more shock absorbent than my previous mats I really like that it is 4' wide. As I've gotten less flexible with age, I've found that I need more space. This is particularly true with the "wheel" pose, where I have to space my feet farther apart than the width of more conventional mats. I did get a fairly good mat that was 6'x6', but that's really cumbersome in terms of the amount of floor space it takes up. This thing comes with non-slip corners. I haven't tried those yet. It hasn't seemed necessary. This also comes with a towel. The towel, curiously, is shaped like a narrow yoga mat. I haven't used it yet. I might use it to put on top of the mat for naps -- not sure. It's really nice that there's a carrying case as well. So far I haven't carried it anywhere, but I certainly might. They're asking for a durability rating. Well how am I supposed to know? I've only had the thing for a few days. Still, it seems solid, from what I can tell. The bottom is a different color from the top. I'm not sure what that's about. I suppose eventually it might delaminate -- but so far it seems good.

If you're looking for a comfortable, thick and big enough yoga mat, this is it! I've had it for a few weeks and I couldn't be happier with it. I had been looking for a nice thick yoga mat for a while, until I came across this one. It was definitely the right choice. This is only a few of the many things I love about it: - it is non-toxic; because there are no strong smells coming out of it while trying to meditate or work out. - it is eco-friendly; because I care about my environmental footprint. - it is pretty stable as is, but finding the mat grips included in the packet was such a nice touch (so was the towel). I really wanted it to be non-slip on the top as well as the bottom. The quality is great and worth the price. I'm so happy with it, I even bought the exercise version for my best friend for her birthday!

I received my new Sensu Large Yoga Mat a few days ago and WOW what a different experience it provided throughout my routine! No slipping, wide and long enough to ensure my body stays on the mat and arms and legs are not spilling over to the carpet. 👏 The mat is so much thicker than I expected and that of a standard yoga mat but that extra thickness still provides really strong stability and stickiness. So glad I purchased it - I love it!!

This mat has made our gym. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, tying things together, but its also large enough to accommodate me and my toddler while we do yoga together. I love that its 2 sided, with 2 different textures and colours to support both my mood and body. It comes with 4 anti-slip corners, which I haven't even had to use yet! The packaging is thoughtful and functional allowing me to wrap up this mat and store it out of sight if need be. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to see it included a large microfiber towel. I look forward to putting mine and my family's best foot forward (ha-ha) on this mat and towards our journey of wellness together.

The yoga mat arrived with a convenient carrying bag and 2 yoga straps that really help to hold it closed when in transit. I love the large size! The mat grips my floor well and I haven't experienced any slipping of the mat while exercising. It came with non slip grips for the corners which I haven't had to use. Fantastic mat for all of my yoga and home workout needs. Thank you!

i ordered a sensu large yoga mat for my new place and it’s going pretty well so far. i’ve have had no issues, it fits nicely in the room and doesn’t leave any marks. i have it over wooden floor boards and the depth of the mat means my body is under a lot less stress as i work out. i didn’t need to use the grips as the mat is big enough and fits nicely into the corners of the room that it doesn’t move around for me anyway.

The mat is perfect for our workouts with enough room to do squats and planks, and fits our workout space perfectly. The mat is comfortable to stand, do aerobics, and stretch on, and is great for reducing impact from jumps and weights. The included towel is perfect to make laying and stretching super comfortable. Very recommended.
