Stunning visuals, a plethora of ports, but with a few idiosyncrasies that keep things… interesting.
This is a long term review of the Spectrum One 27” 4k monitor that I have been using - First off, the display quality is like a punch to the eyeballs—in a good way. Colors are so vivid that I half-expected a unicorn to prance across the screen. The 4K resolution combined with the glossy finish makes everything pop; it’s like my old monitor was a potato, and this one’s a golden, crispy French fry. Now, about that glossy Gorilla Glass. It’s sleek and makes the visuals sharper than my grandma’s tongue at Thanksgiving dinner. But beware: it also reflects everything. I caught a glimpse of my own reflection mid-game and nearly had a heart attack, thinking an NPC had broken the fourth wall. Ports galore! This thing’s got more connections than a social butterfly at a networking event. HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C—you name it. I felt like a kid in a candy store, plugging in all my gadgets. But, and it’s a big but (like, “ate too many donuts” big), the monitor has its quirks. Sometimes, when it wakes from sleep mode, it takes its sweet time, like it’s stretching and yawning before showing me the desktop. And don’t get me started on the occasional black screen when switching resolutions. It’s like the monitor’s playing a prank, and I’m not laughing. Also, a word to the wise: skip the official stand. It’s pricier than a gourmet latte, and you can find a decent VESA stand for a fraction of the cost. I got one for twenty bucks, and it holds up the monitor like a champ. In conclusion, the Dough Spectrum One is like that eccentric friend who’s a blast to hang out with but occasionally leaves you scratching your head. Stunning visuals, a plethora of ports, but with a few idiosyncrasies that keep things… interesting. If you’re up for the adventure and don’t mind the occasional hiccup, give it a whirl. Oh, and if you want a deep dive into its quirks, check out this honest review

4K Glossy 144Hz Monitor Cannot Be Found For This Price But Beware of Dough (Eve)
I got this monitor back in mid August and wanted to write a long-term review about it because there's a lot of people out there who are iffy on buying a monitor from Dough or Eve (however you want to call it) which is totally understandable. You cannot find a monitor for this price that comes in a glossy display, 100W USB-C charging, a full USB hub, 4K and a high refresh rate for this price. For a Windows PC, finding a glossy monitor with these specs is unheard of. For me, I have a MacBook Pro and this is essentially a Studio Display for almost ⅓ the cost. The colors are sharp and scrolling through sites is so smooth and gives me the ProMotion like feel on a display. The downsides are it does take a while for the monitor to connect to the device when plugging in and sometimes it won't show a computer is connected when connecting my Mac in clamshell so I need to open it up every so often so it displays. I've heard their support and updating the firmware is a bit tricky but I've never had any experience with that myself. Overall, it's an amazing monitor for the price for what you get and if you have a lot of devices, but if you're unsure of the brand or the support, I'd stay away and go with a more reputable brand such as ASUS or Dell

Very dim
It’s dim, it’s missing any additional cables, and it just doesn’t hit the way that I thought it would at 4k. I got better brightness out of my Razer 27 in monitor.

Very good image, slight backlight strobing
Really impressed with the sharpness and colors of the glossy version. Nothing to complain about except slight backlight strobing so far.

Amazing picture and quality
I got three of these for my home office and they’re amazing! The picture quality is excellent as are the ports and software. I run them at 144Hz over display port from my daily driver and usb-c from my laptop. I am really happy with these monitors. In fact I just purchased 2 more for my desk at work.

Great Display
I took a leap of faith here by ordering Dough Spectrum One (Glossy) because the reputation of company is bad and alot of folks have had issues with their orders or product not working. As far as I am concerned Dough spectrum one is the only 4k 27 inch glossy monitor with 144z refresh display which is what I needed for my Mac studio cause I wanted smooth scrolling and macOS usage (144hz refresh rate) and brighter more detailed 4k glossy image to really pop the display. My deceision paid off and everything works fine as it should and I am happy with the product display quality. I got the glossy one. Display looks amazing and have good brightness levels even in a bright room. Bezels are thin. The only problem or complaint I have is sometimes when I lock my macOS and when display goes to sleep sometimes it takes a lot of time for display to wake up again. This happened few times only but not all the time. Apart from this everything works great and I have encountered no issues so far. Definitely recommend to someone who wants Glossy 4k displays with 144z refresh rate either for gaming or smooth OS Experience.

Nice monitor, bad company
I've tried the glossy and the gorilla glass variants of this monitor. The gorilla glass version has a glossier, real glass surface where as the standard glossy version is ever so slightly hazy plastic, though still much glossier than a matte panel. In real world use with the monitors turned on, the clarity between the glossy and gorilla glass versions is virtually the same. Where you will see a difference, is that the gorilla glass coating attenuates reflections a bit; reflections are still present obviously but they don't look as bright as they do on the standard glossy coating. These are very nice monitors, especially when you can grab them at a discounted price. They are also one of two or three glossy IPS monitors I'm aware of on the market, and the most affordable of them all. It's important to note that while these are nice, you're still limited to the 1000:1 contrast ratio typical of standardly lit IPS panel, and you're going to have some IPS glow and bleed in the corners that's mostly noticeble on dark backgrounds or dark games. With Mini-led IPS monitors, VA monitors, and Oled monitors are always going to be superior choices when it comes to contrast. At the time of writing this though, if you want a glossy IPS screen, there are no mini-led options on the market at all, and though there are glossy 4k OLED monitors they are well above this price point and you have to worry about burn in with oled. Overall these monitors are really nice, but I cannot give them five stars because Dough as a company is nowhere to be found. You have to assume there is no warranty support what so ever because they will never respond to your emails if something comes up. For this reason, ONLY buy these if you really want a glossy monitor. The clarity is really nice, the feature set is nice with the built in dock, but there will be no support.

Pleasantly Surprised… so far
Obviously this brand has had some pretty negative publicity. I decided to take a gamble and order one through Amazon. Mainly to protect myself in case of any issues. So far, I’m impressed! The specs, ports and glossy screen are all very good for the money. The quality is a step above my old MSI gaming monitor. It’s had a couple of blips and weird things when powering on but overall, I am happy with the monitor. Very versatile. I will update after owning it for a bit and see how it holds up!!
