Why Are These So Hard to Find?
Yeah, this is most likely a region issue, as I searched everywhere for them and couldn't find them locally. I only needed the 1 for a recipe I was trying and, in my opinion, the food came out great, so the flavor was there. Though, now I have a bag of the pods that I have no other use for currently. Still, I'm glad I could get some that weren't stale.

Great flavor
I especially like using the seeds in baked beans. A piquant burst of smoky / menthol flavor when chewing. You can soak the pods in hot water if you want a general flavor. Be brave and add this to your spice shelf!

Yummy
I had never used this spice before discovering it online. Bought it and used it toasted in butter and added to dish or dry toasted in a mix for garam masala. Adds a delicious depth of flavor.

This Cardamom Doesn’t Smell Like Cardamom
This cardamom doesn’t smell like cardamom. It definitely smells like tobacco, not cardamom. I am very disappointed with my purchase. It is so tiny when you crack it open. I included a picture of the real cardamom I had before and this one. You can easily see the difference.
