Great for Getting a Correct Grip and Lessening Writing Fatigue
My 8-year-old son struggles with his handwriting. While the problem is not primarily his grip, he does hold his pencil too tightly, as I wanted to find something that would help him be more comfortable with writing. We tried several different grip brands, but these were clearly the best. First, if you are using this grip, you will automatically be holding the pencil correctly; therefore, no more fights with the boy about the pencil grip! Second, the plastic is very squishy, thus encouraging a much more gentle (and less tiring) grasp on the pencil. (The squishy-ness of this grip is truly what sets this grip apart from the others.)Alas, I have not noticed any handwriting improvement, and the boy still complains about handwriting practice as if it were medieval torture. Nevertheless, this grip at least resolves one handwriting issue -- how to hold the pencil.

Good for teachers
My kids teacher requested these and said they’re the best for 2nd grade! Helps with teaching kids to use the correct grip

Works well for a good cost
Great value for their cost. As a school-based occupational therapist, I use a lot of pencil grasps, and these fit the bill. Added bonus, they are a classroom appropriate fidget. Even I keep one in my pocket for when meetings run long. The ease of use can be a little tricky at first knowing which way should go down vs up and teaching the kids, but there’s an R and L for right versus left handed writers and the way your fingers go from there is pretty intuitive

They Work Great But You Have To Stick With It
I bought these for my 4 year-old who is learning how to write. I never learned how to hold a writing utensil properly so I figured it could help me too. They're difficult to get on so a kid probably wouldn't be able to do it by themselves but they definitely don't slide around on the pencil which is nice. It also makes the pencil really bulky for storage so the previous jar of pencils will have to get replaced with a box. My 4 year-old likes them and took to them right away once we figured out which finger goes where, her writing looks pretty much the same as it did before. I have been trying to work with them but my grip is so out of line that my writing looks like a 2 year-olds so it'll take some serious practice to get used to it.

Saving students writing.
I am a teacher of 36 years experience and I'm seeing more and more students who do not hold their pencil correctly. It makes messy writing and discomfort of the students hands. I'm seeing the disappearance of TEACHING students to write because the handwriting is done in centers and not with the teacher to moniter their progress. The small students are left to figure it out for themselves. These grips are great because you can't hold the pencil wrong with them. THANK YOU--who ever invented these.

One of my favorites
School-Based OT: These are some of my favorite grips, particularly if I have a scholar that squeezes or presses. These grips allow student to squeeze to during placement of fingers under the flap.

Very effective, No resistence, Great Product
These grips work fast and effectively. My 4 year old grandson had developped the habit of gripping a pencil with his whole hand, as you would make a fist. I offered a pencil with this grip and showed him how to hold it. He put his fingers where they should be, was comfortable, and offered no resistence. He is left-handed, and I was so pleased to find a product for left-handers. These grips are so effective and very reasonably priced. They can stop the development of a really bad writing grip. I highly recommend them.
