Does the expected job
Although 1" thickness is not really that thick, having just recently removed all the panels in the room they were placed in (because of moving), there is now a significantly noticeable difference how much sound the panels absorbed (as now sound echoes easily in the room).

Perfect for My Setup!
I’m really happy with the Audiosoul 52 Pack Acoustic Panels! The quality is excellent — the foam is dense, evenly cut, and looks great once installed. I used double-sided tape, and they stuck perfectly with no issues at all. They made a huge difference in reducing echo and improving the sound in my space. The charcoal color gives a clean, professional look to my studio, and the size is just right for flexible layouts. Definitely worth it — great value for the amount you get. Highly recommend!

Pretty descent product for the price, actually do recommend.
Ok. Let me start by saying these arent top studio quality acoustc pannels, those will set you back a lot more than these. HOWEVER, for the price and the quantity you're actually getting a good deal out of this. There's some reviews saying these didn't expand or that they came defective, and as someone who's bought this product twice, I can confirm that a handful indeed do come thinner, but out out of the 2 times ive bought this product, only the second batch I ordered had defective panels, and it was only 4 or them, I counted. As for the foam not growing to its proper size, I didnt have any issues with that. I put then in a spare room for a few days and let them sit there untouched and they expanded just fine. Addressing the thickness of the foam, I actually measured it and there are 3cm from the base of the foam to the top of the wedge, which is about 1 inch, exactly as advertised (bear in mind im excluding the defective units from this claim, as these arent even 1cm thick). The panels also arent all the same size, although most do reach 31cm each side, which is the equivalent of 12in. So to restate my point, this product has great value for the price. The thickness of the foam is as advertised (1 inch or 3cm), the panels, although very slightly varying in their dimensions, are generally 12x12in (or 31x31cm), the faulty units are few and can be counted on a single hand, and they do indeed expand (WITH TIME) to their advertised size. I want to add a section to advise those who cannot get these to stick on their walls. FIrst off, any double sided adhesive tape or command strips will not stick. These will stick to the wall just fine, but the foam is too porous and will come off extremely fast, lets say, 10-15 minutes from the time you stuck the panels to the wall. Instead, I recommend using a heavy duty constructive adhesive, such as DynaGrip (I tried several brands, and even though they mostly all work the same, I feel like this ones a tad more sturdier than its alternatives), which comes both in a squeezing tube and and a tbe that requires a pump gun or whatever theyre called. I add glue in dollops, in approx. 1x1x1cm size, 3 times on each side of the panel, ergo 4 on the corners and 4 in the spaces between the corners (so 8 dollops of adhesive) as well as the middle, Im sure you could get away with just the corners and the centre, but I found that this way the panels will not fall even if you lean your entire body on them (I tested this, and my cat also jumped on one and the panel didnt even budge, and she is one hell of a chonker). With the adhesive on the foam you can spread it with your finger or a stick or a paint knife, or anything really, and then just stick it to the wall. After that just press the panel on each of the zones in which you put glue (not for a long time, just give each zone a quick press and thats it, do it twice if you want to be cautious). The adhesive sticks on cement, wood, drywall, and even on metal. It will even work if you want to stick your panels to the roof, no problem with that, just make sure you give the roof panels a hard squeeze to make sure gravity doesnt tear it off while its drying. If youre looking to make a home studio or just fix a terribly sounding room, this is an awesome deal that wont break your bank. They actually d help the sound. REMEMEMBER, these will NOT soundproof your room, these will only treat the echo you can hear inside a room. I recommend complimenting these panels with carpets and rugs, as well as corner bass absorber blocks. Im uploading images of the panels individually, how they look hung up on a wall, what the defective units look like, the measured thickness of the foam, the adhesive I used to hand mine up, and the way I spread the adhesive for anyone that requires help with that. Also, I've already had these panels on my walls and roof for 4 weeks, still holding up perfectly. 4 stars out of 5, the missing star is due to the defective units.

Pretty good. Make sure you get it right the first time.
The adhesive is okay. Be sure to was and dry the surface before so it can stick really good. My appartment gets really hot and they sometimes fall from the heat. I’m not sure if they are amazing at sound proofing or not but I don’t get complaints.

This item was perfect for my needs. The price was fair and the shipping was quick. I’m really just writing this so that I won’t get notified about leaving a review. If they got more of what I need I’ll buy again

Dampens noise, just not very well.
I built a pine anechoic box and lined it with this product. Note: Do NOT open the bag at all until you are ready to have it expand because as soon as you do, even a bit, it expands a lot. It is soft foam with /\/\/\/\/\ shape, cut slightly larger than advertised. None of the panels failed to expand, and did so quickly. Double-sided tape does NOT work very well. To test how effective it is at dampening sound, I turned on both my window fan, which is noisy and 3' from my box, and my standing fan, which is 5' away, and used a phone app to measure the dBA. I installed them with standard white glue/stick glue or Gorilla double-sided heavy-duty tape but there was almost no sound dampening. I doubled the foam on three sides and bottom, but not the lid side or the top simply by placing them in the box abutting the installed ones. On top of the box, fans on: 56 dBA Inside of the box, closed, fans on: 47.4 dBA That's only, what, a 16% improvement? I have no idea how people got 50% or more! One person mentioned putting a space between the foam and the wall, so I may work on figuring out how to do that. At this point, given the results, I wouldn't recommend this product. At least I've still got a lot of it and I hope I can figure out a solution using the rest to make it worthwhile. Update 11/3/23 I was contacted this week by the vendor, Adam Woods of DASolutions, saying that they wanted to make it right. They offered me a material replacement or a $50 Amazon gift card code. I asked about the former but, instead, the person responded with information about the code. Several things were amiss in this exchange aside from the incorrect response: 1) The emails came from a gmail account, not from Amazon or the seller via Amazon. 2) The email came 2.5 months after I put up the review. I guess they were searching for my email address. 3) There is suspicious text in the emails. 4) Deleting a review for compensation is a violation of Amazon's terms for vendors. 5) All of the 1-3 star VENDOR reviews have been crossed out with a note that apparently comes from Amazon taking full responsibility, despite the fact that the product is NOT fulfilled by Amazon (it comes from China). 6) I cannot put up a vendor review because it directs me to a completely different vendor.

First off, would like to point out the obvious that you should not buy these as an attempt to soundproof a room, and that the panels come with clear instructions on the fact you need to leave them air out prior to putting them up. That being said, I left my set air out for about 48 hours and they rose perfectly. There’s not really much you can say about acoustic foam. It’ll dampen sound well enough, providing you know where the zones are in which sound is most likely to bounce around etc. Bonus that it’s purple & black I guess too!
