Excellent NV Bino for Home Security!
I bought this NV bino for home security purposes. I want to be able to look outside at night to see what is going on around my house. This Firefield unit is lightweight and has a sharp field of vision. The clarity is great and I get a sharp picture. Great value.

The cheep and the mislabeled
Overall not a bad low budget low light enhancement optic. Awkward to walk around with with the 2x zoom base, works ok with glasses but no way to seal in the light. The cowling is too short for that. Positives: •cheap • good detail with IR illuminating • lots of options for recording •day and night modes •AA BATTERIES x4 • well balanced • good for stationary hands free if mounting if using head gear or on helmet Detractors: • battery housing covers= tiny Philips non captive screws easy to lose no secondary retention method for doors • did not come with advertised helmet mount • states it’s 1-3x zoom but is on at least 2x zoom as a base magnification, no way to calibrate • rubber face pad is not comfortable and doesn’t cover enough to prevent light spillage would need a separate cover to contain light •on that same not useless with out ample external light or ir illumination source meaning no passive or heavily restricted passive capabilities (baddies will see you) • no included device to attach to rhino helmet mount. •no included bungee cords
