I finally found a gel that can lay my hair and edges! I highly recommend this. It works well if your hair is a little wet first though. Overall pretty nice, packaging was good too.

This stuff is awful! Dried to a crispy cast, that when broken INSTANTLY turns into a fine white powder. This makes your hair look dusty and dry and falls all over your clothes and face. If you try to counteract the dryness by adding oil or butter, the powdery coating coagulates into small balls of sticky gelatin. I tried it many times using it alone and varying the amount of product I applied, and also using it with the LOC method, with twistouts and with wash & gos. Same result every time...and I really tried to make it work. Just awful. SO disappointed.

Beyond love this stuff! Xtreme Wet Line is the best of the notable "cheap-o" Hair Gels. Its one of the better on the market for us here in North America that isn't one of those over-priced (plus overrated if 'ya ask me) "salon quality" styling gels. Personally I don't like salon-quality products at all. Feel they're overrated & you're merely paying for name value/brand plus for extra added scent. But to each their own respectively. They also flake too easily for me. Alas I am getting a bit ahead of myself but the bottom line is I'm a Neo Rockabilly rock cat, or a modern Greaser (Neo version) for the last four years of my life. And I LOVE this stuff. Gives off much more of a traditional "wet look" then even Eco Styler Gel (Pink Color). You also don't have to use as much. You have to slather on Eco Styler Gel (Pink or White colors) for a stronger hold & this trumps it easily. Its cheaper, too! Please note to fellow Amazon buyers: When you're running low its good to buy in bulk here, but I've been told that Sam's Club has the larger tubs, as well as Super Target chain, just for the heads up.Its also cheaper in the tub forms. Can't rate the bottles yet so please don't ask as I only bulk buy Hair Gel in tubs. Was too disappointed with bottles in my '90s youth past. The last decent styling gel in bottle form was the '90s Dippity-Do Sports scent gel with the bottle neck before they discontinued it.I'll be getting the over 50 ounce tub from Sam's Club & the over 70 ounce one here too soon. Also to note: A little goes a long way for us guys that still prefer Styling Gel over pomades or hair wax, so ya know the drill. Add some water to your hair, work in some gel, hard brush in & then add in two more smaller scoops of gel and viola: You're done :) Brush in some more (if deserved) & stop before it flakes up. Finish up your final thirty seconds or so of brushing. This one is the best hands down, though a fair word of warning: liquefy it between your fingertips of course as per all gels. Plus use much more conservatively as opposed to liberally, as Xtreme Wet Line works wonders for very little. I'd say the best styling gels are currently being produced in Mexico. There is this from Mexico & also that cult product Gorilla Snot (Punk Rock gel). This is better even if its "citrus scent" is a bit 'strong at first' to your nose, its fine. Keep in mind the citrus/fruit styled scent disappears over the course of the day I've noticed, so no real worries.HIGHLY recommended for modern day Neo Rockabilly/Greaser rock cats that don't wanna hassle with overrated pomades or hair waxes. Styling Gel is STILL the best for the wet look, I say, plus it'll never lead to hair loss. Don't listen to the haters. Recommended! :)

My fall/winter go to for wash'n go styles. Makes my curls pop and LAST for days. My 4C hair is in love with Xtreme Wet Line gel.

Bought for my biracial young adult children with curly thick and curly thin hair. They were both leery of using the product for fear of hard stiff hair. Now both love the surprising results. It makes and holds nice looking curls all day and doesn’t make the hair stiff hard or flaky

I used it in my hair to help with my natural hair. It does good for a wash and go on 4c hair but in not a fan of the shrinkage. I use it for my twist out and i love it, it has a great hold but doesn't feel hard. The only thing i dont love is that if you sweat after using it your hair can be sticky.

While the hold on this gel is ok, it flakes like CRAZY. I have natural 3c hair, and typically wash it every 2-5 days depending on my style. When I use this gel I have to wash my hair daily because the buildup is ridiculous. Im regretting having bought the 2 pack and will be giving the 2nd tub away. I’m not opposed to the idea that it may just be my hair because I know people who use this gel and it works fine for them.

Love this product it has turned me into a fromer eco styler user. Well worth the price for the quantity you receive. This product does not leave hair feeling stiff and holds well. Will definitely order again.
