Fit perfectly. Had a challenge getting it through the transom but finally was able to route it to where it needed to go. Had all the parts needed to complete the job.

Worked as it should
Had to buy this thing because I saw some video on youtube about changing the cable boot by pulling the old one out the back of the hull. Don't do this- you'll stretch it. Doesn't take much. This one worked great and is of good quality.

OEM Alpha I Gen I replacement cable
This is the latest OEM replacement shift cable for my Mercruiser (now Mercury Marine) stern drive. I have a 1990 Wellcraft 215 Eclipse with a 5.0 Liter Mercruiser Alpha I (Gen I) stern drive. All parts fit perfectly. This is the second time I've had to replace this cable in the last 24 years and I highly recommend use of the factory recommended special socket for removing and installing the cable.
