Terrific story!
I enjoyed this novel very much and will now seek out the others in the series. This author is new to me and I really enjoy the writing style.

An enjoyable continuation to the “…Brides” series
Caroline is a “fallen woman” and William is a blacksmith. They finally get to know each other under unusual circumstances, although each has admired the other from a distance, secretly. Both are such kind people, although they prefer that no one else knows. They deserve each other, in the sweetest of ways!Caroline Saves the Blacksmith can be read as a stand-alone, although there are references to other characters from previous books. These are not confusing, but to those who have read those books, it makes the story all that much more satisfying.

Wonderful story
I liked reading this story, especially the dreams of the past, present and future that helped the blacksmith during Christmas night with Caroline playing the role of an angel in his dreams. Then he had to figure out how to help her resolve her longstanding guilt so she could be persuaded to marry him.

Caroline Saves the Blacksmith
A fairly predictable story with a strong Dickens flair reminiscent of dreams past, present and future. Interesting to see the trades and celebrations for Chrismastide.

Solid Christmas novella
This Christmas novella is a great addition to the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Both main characters have decided on a life focused on work and devoid of human connection until circumstances force them to spend time together at Christmas. There is “A Christmas Carol” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” vibe to the plot. The main couple has strong chemistry, the side characters are great and I love that the love story features a blacksmith and modiste!

Caroline Saves The Blacksmith
This was such a wonderful entertaining story! Finding out how people lived back then and now hard a life they had it they were not wealthy or have a title, was so interesting! How love and trust made this couple blend their lives together was lovely!Terrie Stamey

Two guilty damaged people find love’s second chances where they least expect it!
Caroline has reduced herself to a fallen woman by succumbing to the advances of her employer’s betrothed. A few years later with the help of the repentant rogue she dallied with, she has reinvented herself and begun her own modiste business it is a second chance for both our leading characters. William has to make up for the loss of his cousin. He feels guilty for leading him to fight in the war where his cousin was killed. He now has stepped into his shoes and become a surrogate son to the village blacksmith. He is numb with both physical and emotional pain. He spots Caroline and comes to life again. When they meet something shifts for both of them. It is an accident at Christmas that throws them together and they both realise how cut off they have been from what is true happiness. Nightmares of the past and dreams of the present and future and ultimately redemption and truth see these two on the path to their HEA. I love William and Caroline, they are both decent caring people who overcome their sad circumstances and make their blessings count! There is also teaser for the next story in the series which gets you hooked for more by Nina Jarrett. Don’t miss it!
