Makes a nice, dense 200g/8oz burger. Make sure the two balls of burger meat are equal, as it's very difficult to press uneven amounts. A sharp tap upside down will release the burgers, but using cling film or baking parchment would make this easier.Simple and quick to clean. I might try seasoning the metal with sunflower oil in the oven to make releasing the burgers easier in the future.

Ordered for my partner who likes to flatten shop bought burgers as he says they are too small when cooked to fill up a burger bun. This is a reasonably heavy burger press but definitely required some human force on it to squash the burgers as is only aluminium and not iron. The handle is sturdy and the press its self is sturdy too. The press has lines dug into it so that your burgers has grooves scored into it which I think is a great touch and makes your burger a bit crispier when cooked.However this is tricky to clean because of the grooves and takes some scrubbing - the surface of the press is quite rough too and hard to tell when its clean.A really decent gift for a burger lover though and will get lots of use out of it.
