My 25 metre expandable hose had sprung a leak near the middle. Tip for making the repair. Turn the hose on and identify the leak and mark the outside of the hose with pen. Turn off the water and cut the inner and outer hose with a Stanley knife a couple of inches each side of the leak. Make sure the inner hose is threaded through and exposed on both side of the hole before fitting the new connector. Would definitely recommend rather than throwing away old expandable hose.

They look the part but unfortunately do not work as attempted to repair my flexible hose with them and despite my best efforts and cutting the pipe several times when the connectors were in no water came out if the end possibly because the inner rubber tubing retracts on itself?

Fitted very easily and not a dribble from the hose. Does exactly what iy is supposed to do.

The inner part to hold the inner tube onto the connecting part did not stay on when water was turned on, it burst off from water flow

These junctions do a great job in repairing expandable hose pipes but be careful to clamp or secure both ends of the hose when you cut the pipe to repair a leak. Otherwise the expandable inner will disappear into the outer fabric sleeve & it will take you hours to retrieve it in order to make the repair!

This says it's for repairing a hole in a hosepipe. It looks like it's meant to join to bits of hosepipe???? No idea--there are no instructions, so the 'fits easily in 3 minutes' is untrue, unless you are amongst the initiated....

I was a little skeptical whether these would work but they seem to do an excellent job. Time will tell.A little fiddly to attach the two pieces of the expanding hose but the repair seems solid

Yes, I have to admit this hose repair kit was a little tricky to install on your first time around. My biggest mistake is that instead of coiling up the hose and laying the "entire" hose on a flat surface to start the operation ( i.e....surgery ) I just laid the section with the rupture on my kitchen table top with the majority of the rest of the hose cascading down each side to the kitchen tile floor. And even though I had C-clamps on each side of the rupture to keep the inner latex tube from retreating further down into the outside hose liner once I made my cut, to my dismay it did anyhow (and it can be a pain to thread it back out). I highly suggest one watch the youtube videos out there on how to do it, makes it a little easier to preform this operation, especially if you have all the right tools on hand too. It's not rocket science, you'll figure it out.

Useless product. I tried to repair a fabric Pocket Hose brand expandable hose. The white piece doesn’t fit over the white hose installed on the black stem. It breaks, then the repair leaks.

After installation a leak occurred.Don't buy.
