Shelly 26" Seat Height Mid Century Modern Swivel Bar Stool for Kitchen Island Counter in Brown Faux Leather and Walnut Wood

I bought four of these because the design looked good and the price was right. No disappointment on the design. The color matched the picture and craftsmanship appears solid. I had no issues with different heights reported by others. Assembly was easy and quick (4 screws). One kit was missing but the manufacturer responded instantly, expedited a replacement at no cost, and sent timely updates along the way. Seating is comfortable and swiveling is easy. No scratches (yet) so cannot say how easy or hard the finish is. So far, happy with the purchase.

Absolutely fabulous, perfect in size, perfect in comfort, perfect in looks. Looks great at my counter height island, does not overshadow the island.

The chairs are very nice and elegant. It was very simple to assemble them. Actually my twins who are 9 years old did it. Chairs are comfortable and can easily sit regular size person, up to 190-200 pounds. They are stable and will fit perfectly at kitchen counters.

Buying these, I knew they were made in China and not the best quality but I expected them to be at least IKEA grade. They look nice, they are comfortable, and easy to assemble (only requiring screwing on the seat to the stool), but quality control lacked in a few areas. I noticed after they were assembled, you can wobble them around using just 1 finger, the leg pads are cheap 1/4 inch rubber pads with exposed PLYWOOD end grain. These aren’t even solid pine or another cheap wood. The leg rest doesn’t seem like it’s going to last too long and I wouldn’t feel safe having a guest over 220lbs sitting in them. (Couldn’t find a weight capacity anywhere.) If I get 5 years use out of them I’ll be happy but if I could go back in time, I would have rather just bought used USA made stools from a thrift shop. As for the wobbling, I don’t think it’s enough for them to tip over while you’re sitting in them but only time will tell.

Packaging was excellent. Instructions for assembly were simple, mostly diagrams, but surprisingly easy to follow. Every part (bolts, structures, even the allen wrench included, were all numbered. Instructions indicated which numbered part went where. A word of advice: instructions say "leave bolts loose until finished". Believe them! I tightened some of them while putting the first stool together and it was NOT fun. The other (loose) were a breeze. The stools are classy looking and comfortable to sit on. I would definitely buy again.

IF YOU NEED QUALITY BAR STOOLS FOR A GOOD PRICE, THESE ARE IT!!! Being an awkward 6’2, I have always struggled with finding a decent barstool. Well, for both tall and short, these have amazing back support. The entire “feel” of the chair is sturdy, “chin up high status”, quality assurance, and stunning. Assembly? Easy breasy… lemon freaken easie. Comes with a beautiful set of instructions and will be done within minutes. REMINDER!!!! When you are looking for a bar stool HEIGHT…. Choose that option. There is “counter height” and “bar height”. Choose accordingly. Please buy and enjoy this chair!!!

I’m using this chair for a hand drop spindle - need the height. Works great.

If is only a few weeks I have them and find them a really nice addition to my place. Very straightforward to assemble. they are comfortable and i find them fairly sturdy (the time must prove it though). My only complaint is one of them has some defects on its base that is not nice (see the pictures). I will request a replace for that sit or the part. If it goes through smoothly I might change the rating.
