Good and easy to make

I lived in France for several years and fell in love with dark chocolate mousse. There you could purchase it in packs like yogurt. Unable to find anything in stores and prior to Amazon it was impossible to find for 20 years. I was able to find Dr Oetker at military commissaries and later Amazon, and when I saw Southern Gourmet I had to try it. It is better than Dr. Oetker imho.It is wonderfully fluffy and retains its texture better than Dr Oetker. I have made two chocolate cakes using this as filling and frosting and it is delicious. So much better than regular frosting.It is so unfortunate that they are available in 6 packs because I cannot stop eating them when I have them in the house, and Amazon is just a click away. I may have gained a few pounds because of this. smh I have no self control when this stuff is around.

This lovely dessert mix makes a light, delicious mousse. Just add milk and beat until stiff peaks. Great for chocolately mousse pie, trifles, or just enjoy a bowl for an anytime treat.

Easy and delicious

My local stores no longer carry the milk chocolate of this brand, but loved it. Tried this and equally as good, just richer. Try mixing with 1/3 c Irish cream and 2/3 c milk, to die for!

The finish needs work. The chocolate that we all love is smothered with the finish of the sugar alcohol or substitute that boils my stomach -- I rather use the real thing here. This mixed well with mascarpone to mellow it out, extend the batch or layer a portion tasting more like milk chocolate and the other half the darker mousse then tastes more like what it should. I used dairy to kill that bitter under taste. The kind of milk will change the consistency and flavor. Best served chilled cold. I would add a small layer of shaved choc. curl to enhance the positive.

I wish Il had a picture.Light as cloud, firm chocolate sweetness.Stayed firm in fridge. It’s texture is great but it needs a bit more chocolate flavor for my tastes. I will buy it again I believe I look to see if they make a dark chocolate mousse as I really like the firmer texture of this mousse compared to some others. Maybe a little bit of unsweetened powdered cocoa would bring out the deep chocolate flavor I crave in a mousse.

I just lost all my upper teeth at once due to an illness and my mouth is a hole of agony. The only thing that soothes me is cold pudding, which I despise and ice cream is too cold. I never liked the way it felt in my mouth. My lovely wife went looking for solutions and found this. It is heaven sent. It is the one thing I can get down besides meal replacement shakes. It tastes fantastic and the consistency is is wonderful. I am so glad she found it. It just brightens my day when it ends up on my tray.
