Good item & looks the part

It certainly is very pretty, to the point that it might attract unwanted attention to your bike when it's parked. But it's also an effective chain, complete with the easy fit system that's so useful.

The chain on my bicycle has finally worn out and I was looking for a replacement. Whilst I was going to just get an ordinary chain, this one showed up and I thought I'd give it a try. I have to admit, it definitely adds style points to my (yellow) bicycle and makes it look rather unique. What about function? Well, so far it works the same way any other chain would. Attaching it to my bike was very simple due to the quick release mechanism (quick release chain link is included with the kit). Why have I given this chain 3 stars then? Well firstly, it is important to mention that the chain did not arrive pre-lubed, which I thought was standard practice for chains. Secondly, the wow factor of the colour wears out very quickly, especially after you oil the chain and you pick up some dirt over time. Lastly its the price. You can get a regular chain for half of this price, so you really have to ask yourself, does the colouring really make it worth it? I guess thats up to you. Overall, functionally speaking this chain (so far) has been more than adequate, however, I question the value of this item (and the lack of pre-lubrication).
