This product works!!!
Amodex is amazing in getting out ink stains. I had a large ink stain in the back seat of my truck from a leak of a printer, it’s been there for over 5 years. I used the product per the instructions, with a little time and many paper towels later the stain is gone. I highly recommend this product, it works as advertised.

This stuff works!
This has worked great for stain removal for me! We had a ball point pen in the wash situation and I was able to get all of the ink out of a shirt. Then I decided to try it on an old stain on a white sports jersey- it had been through the washer and dryer multiple times, and nothing else had worked, not bleach pen, not oxyclean. Got it looking as good as new! The trick is to keep applying and scrubbing. The stain needs to be 100% lifted before you put it in the wash- if you see remnants before you put it in the wash, they will still be there when it comes out. In both cases, I found that my fingernail scratching at it worked better than a scrub brush. For the ink I needed to keep blotting and lifting the ink off. Lots of patience and perseverance will get that stain up!

Terrific Product - Removed Old, Dried Sharpie from Denim Jacket
Just used Amodex on a 25-year old blue denim jacket that I acquired second-hand. The jacket is in great condition/as new but, years ago, someone (definitely not a celebrity) signed their name using a black sharpie pen on one of the sleeves - the signature was huge, approximately 12" long, and rendered the jacket unwearable. Given the age of the dried sharpie I was very skeptical that anything would get the signature out, but this product worked like a charm - process took about 15 minutes. I put an old towel inside the sleeve to prevent any bleed-through, traced the sharpie lines with Amodex, let the jacket sit for a few minutes, gently brushed until the pen lines quickly began vanishing, and blotted the sleeve with a paper towel before putting the jacket immediately in a delicate/cold water wash. Results: The signature is gone - very faint traces are still visible in small spots but that's only because I knew the sharpie stains were once there, no one else would notice. The product removed some factory blue dye from the jacket; some light/trivial fading in the area but, again, it's not noticeable to anyone unfamiliar with the removed signature (I would not leave Amodex on denim for very long). Excellent product - a small area could be tested if you're worried about effectiveness or damage to the underlying dye/fabric.

Wow! A must have in the house!
I really wish I had taken a before picture before using this! I read a bunch of the reviews before buying/using this, so I knew not to try and treat the area I wanted cleaned. I carry a sharpie on a retractable clip around at work. I somehow managed to put the sharpie back in the cap upside down 3x in one day! I had black sharpie lines all over my jeans! They are a multi color tie dye look, so I was hesitant to use this product for fear that it would remove the tie dye colors. I still don't know if the tie dye on the jeans is actual tie dye or what, but wow! The lines are all gone minus 3 small black dots that I'm still working on. They are barely noticeable compared to the lines so I'm beyond thrilled! After shaking the bottle, the Amodex liquid isn't too thin, so I didn't waste too much product. I used an old toothbrush to scrub vigorously. I probably treated each of the lines twice with the Amodex, and kept scrubbing. The ink was disappearing and the tie dye wasn't! Again, since I don't know how the jeans were actually colored to make the tie dye look, I don't recommend trying this without testing a small area first on home made tie dye! After it looked like all the sharpie lines were gone, it wasn't completely clear if some of the black from the tie dye had bled because of the way the wet areas made the jeans look. I was starting to think I should have just left the lines because it looked better than what I was looking at. I took the jeans and rinsed all the treated areas under water, hanging them to dry overnight. Before they even dried though, I could see the black from the tie dye hadn't bled. My jeans were saved! I don't know why the remaining 3 black dots (very tiny) don't seem to want to come off vs all the lines that were drawn, but they're really not very noticeable, so I'm only trying 1 last time to remove them. All the scrubbing is harsh on the material. I gave the Amodex 4 stars because of those last 3 dots, and it's kind of expensive considering the size of the bottle. There's no offensive smell (unless you put the stuff right by your nose and take a big whiff lol). Maybe there are other products out there that work as well, but it's not worth checking them out to me since this worked fast and was easy to use. The instructions tell how to use the product based on the material you're trying to clean which is nice and there's also a phone number you can call for help/questions.

It worked after the dry cleaner failed
This product has a pleasant scent and feels good on the hands. I used it on a stain professional cleaners had failed to remove; the stain rinsed out easily after 1 application of Amodex.

Highly recommend, love it !
Amazing and I mean absolutely amazing product. I bought a brand new pair of khaki-colored shorts from Eddie Bauer, they were so pretty and fit beautifully so I immediately put them on; then proceeded to put a gel pen in the right pocket. I was devastated: Huge dime-sized blue ink spot. So mad at myself what was i thinking. Wait for it ! I did everything - every stain remover know to mankind, soaking (not bleach), multiple washings, I even bought dye in resignation so I could dye them dark blue because they fit so well and were still brand new ! In a flash of blinding intellect :), I did a search on Amazon and found Amodex. Mind you this stain was 2-3 years old at this point. I had left the shorts in the laundry room thinking I just can't throw out a perfectly good pair of shorts. When it arrived, I followed the directions precisely; and in several tries, the stain is gone. I just cannot believe it. My biggest regret is not documenting this with pics. There is no trace of the stain. It's cheap, it works, be patient if necessary but it absolutely works.

undecided if I would use it again
Worked okay. It did lighten the ink stain after several attempts. Unfortunately, the ink stained clothing had already been washed and dried. May have better luck with a fresh stain.

I tried this product to remove ink stain , all it did was to smudge the ink further and make it more ugly Completely ineffective

I’m so happy I ordered this product. I’m a Poshmark seller and when packaging an order of a vintage dress that sold I noticed an ink stain. It took 5 rounds of using this gel but the stain from how ever long ago lifted. Absolutely no discolouration in the garment either. This gel was a total life saver!!!

Someone swiped a blob of blue ink on my white wool coat. I checked around for dry cleaners and they all said they wouldn’t guarantee results and the quotes were as much or more than I paid for the coat. I was so upset I bundled it up, put it out of my mind, and forgot about it for a few months. I came across Amodex and figured what the heck - I can’t wear the coat as is, so if I have to throw it out in the end , oh well I tried. I followed the directions, using a toothbrush to scrub the stain, then let it sit for about 30 minutes then threw it in the delicate cycle of the washing machine with gentle detergent. It came out with no trace of the ink at all! GONE! And the coat looks like new. 10/10 would recommend!
