Book is great
This isn't about the book but the packaging. Why was it necessary to wrap a book about women and sex inside two black plastic bags?

A Wonderful Addition to the Canon
I enormously admire and respect the amazing work Virginia Nicholson has done to track the progress (or lack there of) of Women's lives from the end of WW1 to the swinging sixties and this installment was terrific. I discussed this book with my mum who was born in the 60s and, like most, she wasn't aware of how little progress had been made. One particular highlight was the unveiling of the filthy secrets of the fab four and their abysmal treatment of women. Not so cute after all.

Real life of women in the 1960’s
A fascinating book about the real lives of women in a decade when so much changed. Immaculately researched and written like the author’s previous books and thoroughly enjoyable too.

Excellent book to find out what life for teens and 20's was like in the 60's
This book is an excellent resource for those interest in what life was really like, taken from personal experience, from all kinds of people with very different views. It shows a progressive society with it's good and bad, and particularly the changing role women played.
