Printer working great!

When my HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer refused to print and produced an error code, I purchased this Printhead Replacement Kit from Print parts Store on Amazon. When I installed the replacement printhead in the printer, following the directions precisely, the printer continued to refuse to print and continued to produce error codes. My printer will still not print.

Installed this print head on my over 10 year old HP 8600. And although I still can't get it to align (tried many times using methods direct from HP website and other suggestions), it still prints. Weird. Not sure how, but it prints. Very slow, so I'm still working on improving speed. But at least it works. Saved me from buying a new printer, from getting stuck in the instant-ink subscription nightmare, and did not have to waste my new ink cartridges.Note: This is day 1. We shall see. But this seller offers returns, so hopefully if I have a problem, I can return it.Also: I got ink all over my pants from the new print head because I didn't realize you had to keep that side face up. My bad. Just be careful, go slow, read all instructions a few times. And read instructions online, too. Gives greater detail.Last: Pulling off the rubber covers to the connection points freaked me out. I thought I was going to break something. Had to use pliers on the last one. But all is well. Once again, read everything, be patient, trust the process.Followup: It's now been three months. Works perfectly.

After reading concerning reviews about several competitors replacement print heads, I can say I am very happy to report that this print head works like the original when new.

I almost bought a new printer, another model. When i saw the price of this item versus a new printer I had to give it a try, or I would have wasted new ink too. I have no regrets. The directions were simple and the printer works perfectly once again.
