The Comfort heating plate mimics a mother hen by allowing chicks to gather under the plate and keep warm. The heating plate provides a steady, comfortable temperature surface chicks can contact and is rated at 62 watt compared to a standard 175/250 watt heat bulb, which means it costs less to operate than a standard heat lamp setup.
