This little set is awesome! It's perfect size for portable chess, yet large enough to be a nice home set if you only play occasionally. I'm a single father, and I got this so my 13 year old and I could have some quality time off the xbox. He loves setting this up at the table and playing while we eat. It gives us a great chance to spend time together and talk without it seeming like a "parent talk."The pieces are a little small, but yet quite perfectly sized for travel, or even if you just don't want a chess set sitting out all the time collecting dust. The magnets in the pieces are great and do hold on very well. Also the silver and gold contrast each other beautifully...even for just plastic pieces this set is beautiful.I've always loved chess, and I've had many set over my life, and I'll say this: If you're a big time chess player and you want to spend a hundred or more on a set you can, but if you just want a nice set to play chess on...go with this.

This chess set is perfect, I wanted a chess set to always be with me if I ever ran across someone who wanted to play our just pull it out and study different openings, mate in 1 or 2 challenges. I wanted it small enough to put it my backpack yet not to small that big clumsy fingers can’t maneuver around the board. I love the magnetic chess pieces, I have set a whole game up and then turned the board upside down to see if any pieces would fall and none of them did. This is due to strong magnets in each piece but also the lightness of the pieces. I keep this board in my car most of the time because you never when you might need a chess set to play, to study, reenact previous games you have played.I would recommend this set to any avid player who wants to increase their ranking and are committed to studying the game. This chess set is ideal because of its portability and and and good design.

This is a full chess game in a managable size. I am learning the game. The gold and silver pieces have infinite class. Their magnetism causes them to sray where they are moved. A Tampian, I enjoy the bishop's resemblance to University of Tampa minarets. Get this set. It has magnetism.

Good quality for the price. Good choice for the beginner players and kids.

My son loved this! The pieces are not super heavy weighted but they stick to the board pretty well! It's nice that you can keep all the pieces inside the board and it holds together well so nothing accidentally falls out.

Good little cheap set for the price, sadly one pawn seems to not have a good magnet in it.
