The dice are a nice design, weight, shape and size. They are crafted well with good color choices to make them pop. I enjoyed playing the game but some of the suggestions like the brush strokes or air style is more geared to an art class and not general play, so we just ignored those prompts.

We absolutely LOVE adding the variety of rolling the dice to determine an art project. Sometimes, the creative juices are there, they just need a little nudge to properly blossom.The dice are smooth and painted neatly. The wording is clear. They are a nice weight without being too heavy. One thing to add on your own is a cup or something to shake them in before rolling.The simple act of rolling dice removes the "decision making dilemma" that I have seen "freeze" my children in their tracks. This simple quality set of creative dice solves that issue for us. It is also a fun way to discuss probability in our math class. It adds a fun tidbit to the lesson.LOVE LOVE LOVE these! As an artist that is trying to get back into the routine and out of her comfort zone, I like that this tool takes away some of the mental indecision I may have towards choosing a drawing subject. There really is no excuse when all you have to do is roll the dice.The dice are made of quality wood and have a good feel in the palm. Honestly, as someone who doesn’t get to pla many board games, I really like the act of throwing the dice and seeing what artistic adventure awaits me.Will I be sketching today fishes in acrylic or perhaps a landscape? Who knows but it is a great tool to keep you on your toes and well rounded. Sometimes as artists it is easy to get stuck drawing the same thing over and over and these dice help cure that. They come in a cute little drawstring bag so it is easy to take with you to the nearest coffee shop or park.Give them a try, you might like them :)

This is a fun way to get the creativity flowing if you are stuck or if your mind is as blank as the page in front of you. Sometimes you just need a starting point to get the creativity flowing.I rolled all of the dice and then ignored the ones I did not like. For example, I rolled "oil" as the medium. I am not a fan of oils and do not own any oils, so I went with acrylics.It was fun to push myself to create in styles I do not normally try (pop art or photo realism). I tend to gravitate to impressionism and expressionism.This would work well in group settings, especially for those who struggle starting. It could also be used when someone is stuck- roll the dice for inspiration. A previous career I was an art therapist. These dice would have been helpful and enjoyed by several of my clients/groups I led.I have had fun playing with these.

Some of the dice do cover the same things. I mistakenly thought all the dice should be used at once, but it's much better to choose 3 or maybe 4, and then roll and create. The dice themselves are not fancy or shiny, but they certainly are creatively productive and provide a nice inspiration/challenge for "artist's block." Perhaps a little more variety and generality on the prompts would help, but overall I had fun with these.
