4" and 6" SILENT SMOOTH Ratchet S2 Steel Bit Nut Driver/Screwdriver

Los of options for these tools but I have these a try. Solid, and after a month of daily use I have broken them. Not lacking anything. The colors are cool for whatever that’s worth. Easy to change setting with one hand

The best ratcheting screwdrivers on the market, quiet, smooth, effortless. Love it, worth every penny. I would highly recommend purchasing these drivers.

Excellent feel, tough build. Only drawback is that they don't have a hollow to which you may store additional bits. Should a job require the use of multiple bits, you would have to carry them separately rather than conveniently store them within the handle. This is the only reason I still use my SnapOn screwdriver.

These guys are not only made in Canada (which is pretty cool in and of itself unless you want ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING to be "Made in China") but they also employ a pretty remarkable technology that I personally think is the cat's meow. It is true that these screwdrivers might not be as inherently "tough" as traditional fixed blade or "geared" ratcheting screwdrivers. It really doesn't matter though. The geniuses that designed these saw fit to include a hex portion at the base of the shaft. Problem solved for the higher torque applications. The only thing that sucks about these screwdrivers is the lack of bit storage. That really bites and was the only reason I waited so long to pull the trigger. I also own their other version but I don't like weird two-sided bits!

Received the 2 driver set with the 4” and 6” today. I am surprised and perplexed as the 4” has a chromed shaft and the 6” is black with an oxide type finish. It looks to me like the 6” was prepped but not chromed. I can see a little corrosion already started shaped like and oval fingerprint. There are punch marks on the magnetic bitholder of the 6” as well so maybe it just wasn’t finished being made, but not giving me a lot of confidence for quality control. The action is smooth but this is odd, and the description on Amazon states they are chromed, so will figure out how to contact the seller although fulfilled by amazon, seems I received a factory second.

Switching between ratcheting directions may need some getting used to. And it takes longer than one might think. Excellent tool with its unique quirks!

They're working great for me. The backlash-free way they work makes them a joy to use. Plus, the substitution of the roller bearing for a ratcheting mechanism adds real value. It means that there's far less resistance when twisting backwards. That greatly reduces the tendency of the screw to turn backwards, giving a longer range of usefulness of the "ratchet" feature. It also means that you can easily rotate the shaft forwards with two fingers to quickly screw/unscrew when the screw becomes only finger-tight.

Quality Canadian product. Having purchased one 2-years back with bits, I could not resist the temptation to add these to my toolkit.
