MokerLink 4 Port PoE Switch Review (Used for Poe cameras.)
A Poe switch is often an essential part of your CCTV set up in order to provide power to your cameras while routing the data to your router. The MokerLink 4 Port PoE Switch is self-managed so there is no additional setup needed, you just plug in and let it do its job.The build quality is very good, and I have not noticed it gets hot, although I am only using two Poe cameras. You get some rack ears if you need them rack-mounted. Instructions are minimal, and the power lead is rather short so I had to use a longer one. The MokerLink 4 Port PoE Switch is nice and small. I would recommend you always get a switch with more ports than you need. The 8 port version is double the price of the 4 port. This means you could add another 4 ports as and when needed while you would use up one of the ports in doing so.A far as Poe power output goes this provides 78w between all 4 ports. The average camera will not use much so this is more than enough. This Poe switch has 4 ports as inputs with Poe, plus 2 ports as data output to your router. You can plug in a device that does not require power which is automatically detected, for my set up I have 2 cameras plugged in which is Poe, plus my server PC. Each port has two led lights, one for data which is green, and one for when power is given shown as Orange.I have not used this long term yet but so far it's been good, is quiet as it has no fans, yet does not overheat while powering two cameras, in fact, it hardly gets past warm. It's built very well and I can see I will be using this for many years to come.

MokerLink 4 Port PoE Switch with 2 Uplink Ethernet Port
IP CCTV cameras are almost a must have for your home these days, but can be a bit of a pain to power, as there will almost certainly be no power sockets near to where you need to power the camera.A PoE switch can help solve this problem, as you simply need to run a single Ethernet cable between the switch and each camera, with the camera taking it’s power directly from the switch. The Mokerlink 4 port switch is perfect for a small camera setup, with it’s 4 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports (which are more than fast enough for a regular HD camera stream) and it’s 2 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Uplink ports. Having dedicated uplink ports, means you do not lose any available Ethernet ports when connecting to your existing network or directly to you Network Video Recorder. The switch has a nice sturdy metal construction with all 6 Ethernet ports on the front, along with the status indicator lights that let you quickly see that there is a connection and whether the connection is using PoE power. At the far right corner of the front panel is a switch to extend the transmission range of the connected devices from 100 meters to 250 meters, although this will limit the transmission speed down to 10 Mbps. The rear of the unit is where the mains adapter is plugged in and also features a grounding point, so that the unit can be grounded inside your cabinet (if that is where you are placing it).Either side of the switch are mounting points for the hanging brackets which can be screwed into place and the bracket can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. Each port can output up to 30 Watts, but the total for all ports must not exceed 78Watts and the dimensions of the switch are approximately 20cm x 12cm x 4.5cm.***** In The Box *****1 x 4+2 Port PoE Switch1 x Pair Mounting Brackets1 x Mains Power Cord4 x Mounting Screws2 x Mounting nuts and bolts1 x User Guide***** Installation / Usage *****The Mokerlink switch is not managed, so works in exactly the same way as other simple switches and requires no configuration on your part. You simply connect your devices to the PoE ports, run a cable from one of the uplink ports to a port on your existing network router, or directly to an NVR and power it on. Any connected PoE devices will power up and any non-PoE devices will just send/receive data via the network and will not receive any power from the switch.***** Conclusion *****Being able to power cameras using a single Ethernet cable is a huge advantage and makes installation far easier and tidier. I have my switch mounted in my attic so only needed to run a single Ethernet cable between my router and the switch and then a single Ethernet cable between the switch and the cameras.I am very pleased with the build quality of the metal construction and the included mounting brackets are handy as you can either mount it in a dedicated rack, or simply on a wall.

Up and running in seconds
I have a few POE access points around the house plugged into an older net gear switch with a noisy fan. I wanted to move the switch into the bedroom so needed a silent switch. This was perfect! From opening the box to having whole house Wi-Fi again took seconds! Not a brand I’ve heard of before but after a bit of research I thought I’d give it a go and I wasn’t disappointed. Much cheaper that some of the big names and works just as well.

Failed after just two weeks
I bought this switch to power some POE cameras. Only 4 of the 9 ports were in use as I'm slowly expanding my CCTV network. After just two weeks, the unit started making a high-pitched noise, possibly fan bearing and all my cameras dropped off the network. As it turns out, neither the link or POE lights was on on each of the camera ports in use. Powering down the unit and powering back up made no difference, the POE side was dead. I guess you get what you pay for, this unit was cheap and I've never heard of the brand. I'll spend more money and buy a named brand I recognise, instead.

MY internet Speed dropped
I was using an 8-port D-LINK switch. I am running out of ports to connect more devices, So I decided to go for a 16-port switch. The price and the power output looked impressive. I decided to buy this switch. The switch came on the same day.I connected the new switch, and my cameras and everything worked fine.I decided to do a speed test. On the speed test, it comes out my internet speed is around 70MB.(I Have a 500 MB internet connection) I have tried connecting the internet connection to different ports, but the speed is not going past 70, 75 MB.I connected my old switch and it shows my internet speed is 500+ MB.I have returned the Item. and looking for another brand.

Great value for the speed
This switch is the best of the best. High speed 10Gbps SFP+ and 2.5Gbps RJ45 in one compact package. This switch runs silent, and doesn't get hot, easy to set up, external power supply, with mounting holes on the bottom for wall mounting.I have bought three of these so far, and have had zero issues.

Performance siehe Bild. Da kann man nicht meckern.
