Really good movie a good classic.

Good old film with brilliant actors

Excellent film

This is a review of the Final Cut blu ray of The Big Country. I must say it is impressive. Although it doesn't say so on the sleeve, the film has been restored. This information is given on a caption at the end of the film. And it does look and sound good. Certainly the best l have ever seen The Big Country look. The Amazon description doesn't say anything about extras, but there is a decent amount on the disc. A commentary by Sir Christopher Frayling. An entertaining, star studded, hour long 1980s documentary on director William Wyler. A vintage behind the scene look at the film. And a section of interviews, that can be repetitive, but we get the stories from differing points of view. My only slight quibble is big films, of that era, tended to have overtures, an intermission and exit music. So, it might have been good to include these to add to the epic feel of the film. Overall this is an impressive blu ray and if you are a fan of The Big Country and think it is time to upgrade from the DVD l would recommend doing so
