I spent 20 mins trying to find “E”… the screw that hold the casing/tube to the unit. I thought maybe they forgot to include in the bag with the Allen wrench 🤷🏻‍♀️ It didn’t help that something was lose inside and I thought it might be the piece I needed 🤣… Finally found it … screwed into the bottom of the tube. I know, some of you will say “Duh”.. but this review may help a few folks.The item (so far) is just perfect! … But there again the wind hasn’t been blowing today.

I have always used umbrella stands that were solid and did not require any fillers. In one of the uploaded photos, you can see this one compared to the “usual” type of stand that I have used up until now. They normally weigh around 22 pounds.I filled this one up with a bag of multi-purpose sand that I got from the local hardware store. It was a 60-pound bag and the stand took the entire bag.So, in effect, I have a base that weighs 60 pounds. If I chose to add water to it as well, it would weigh even more.The stand is solid and should last a long while, time will tell. The instructions are a little sparse, but assembly is fairly straightforward. Note that you can attach the top tube securely to the base with a screw at the bottom.I’m using this stand for a somewhat unique purpose. I have it as a base for an outside solar light that I put in my backyard. Because the light so top heavy, I’ve also secured the pole with plastic zip ties to keep it from toppling over.This is a well-made stand that can be filled with water, sand, or both, depending on your needs. I’m very pleased with it and highly recommend it!

I like this umbrella stand. The stand has a sleeve inside which allows 1.5 inch diameter umbrella poles. You can remove the sleeve to use a 2 inch diameter pole. So it is versatile in that regard.Standard base to fill with water or sand. Looks like it should hold up to use with normal sized outdoor umbrellas. If you’ve got something really big you may want to get one with a bigger base size.
