CoQ10 has always been strongly recommended but always with vague dosages
Over my life, I have been suckered...uh...drawn to buying a lot supplements that claim benefits that I simply don't experience. You see the ad, buy the pill, then...nothing. I don't put this product in that category.For me, a 39 year old male who is one of the unfortunate many who do the sedentary 9-5 office thing, I noticed the benefits within a week of taking it. How did I feel different? Well, after a typical day at the office and my craptastic commute home in Chicago traffic, I usually felt dead tired. I would get home, change clothes, and plop down on the couch, maybe eat something, and watch some mindless telly until bedtime. My occasional post-work gym visits were the exception to this pattern.For those of us that are afflicted with Statin damage, CoQ10 has always been strongly recommended but always with vague dosages. At the horrendous cost of CoQ10, some of the dosages were ridiculous-8 to10 a day?? (One source said as much as 2,500mg a day?!) A 30 or 40 dollar bottle every so many days? It's bad enough that our bodies were prematurely ruined by over-zealous Doctors pushing Statins on us, but now our remaining days have to be spent with little or no money from trying to undo some of that damage? The best that could be done was to take 3 100mgs of CoQ10 a day and hope that it was enough. Then Ubiquinol hit the market. Stronger stuff but more money Again and Still needed to take 2 100mg capsules to get near the "recommended dose level". So what choice does that leave a person? None. Pull the money out of your ear or die-choose one. Finally now, Jarrow is offering 200mg in a 60 count bottle so you can get 200mg's of Ubiquinol a day with a single capsule and at the price basically of 1 bottle of the old CoQ10. So, does it Work? I have to say that it actually does have a noticeable effect. Normally, I'd say that most of these "vital supplements" have very little to no results that you can Feel, but you hope for the best and take them because "you should". With Ubiquinol, you feel more energy. It might take a month or even 2, but eventually, you will benefit from taking it. I guess that's why athletes take it. Is it helping the heart? Who knows? It's still beating, so something is working. Apparently it's helping. So far-so good.After taking Ubiquinone for a week, I strangely felt alert on my ride home and starting getting home and doing things (chores, shopping, getting out, etc...). Note: I took 200 mg (2 pills) daily for the first week, then 100 mg (1 pill) thereafter.What's more, I recently ran out of pills and started doing that "5 o'clock flop" again (flopping in your car then later, your couch, because of fatigue). Upon taking again, that "dead" feeling from 5-8 every night went away in a few days.AND...just to prove I don't work for Jarrow Formulas, I will even say that you could probably get these results from ANY brand of Ubiquinone

I hadn't realised that this contains magnesium stearate, which I normally look out for, but being that it was Pharma Nord I didn't expect them to use it! Some of their products are good, but I'll be buying organic for the next lot.
