This leans more on the persuasive side and might be good as a companion to another book I reviewed recently. This book assumes you already have some idea what a blockchain is and wish to make a profit from the information it shares. Be warned not all advice is good advice. So use this put as an introductory guide and do your research! It also provides information about how to detect scammers, which is very helpful.

The book could be more condensed
The book provides good introduction to Blockchain technology as well as its applications; however, many concepts and ideas (e.g the advantages of blockchain) were mentioned repetitively especially in the first part of the book which might be due to the author's enthusiasm. I really enjoyed the last 100 pages of the book.

This book turned out to be quite a disappointment. I believe the author knows quite a bit about blockchain and cryptocurrency. However, I think he bit off far more than he was able to handle. The book is covers a great many topics related to blockchain. Though most of the book lacks the clarity, definition and mastery expected. Many of the topics discussed lack continuity and other are just factually incorrect. I think the writer did attempt to create a useful book. However, I just don't think he: 1) adequately researched the body of knowledge included; 2) thoroughly understood the ins and outs of the body of knowledge included; 3) adequately described the details/concepts associated with the body of knowledge included; 4) did an adequate job of drawing appropriate conclusions; and, 5) adequately tied the various sections together into a single volume.I do appreciate the effort. However, someone without a thorough understanding of blockchain may come away with more questions than answers, In some cases, the facts are incorrect, potentially resulting in misleading the reader.I think the writer should revisit the book and provide an update. I think as is the book is a great foundation for an excellent future edition - assuming the proper revisions are made. But as is it requires a disclaimer.

A valuable resource on Blockchain
I have done some research on cryptocurrencies prior to this book, but I learned a lot more about how it all works. I had no idea there were more implications in which this type of technology can help society. The book is very well laid out and covers the topic in depth. White explains the history of this technology, exactly how Blockchain works, and how it can be used in other scenarios.White talks about potential safety concerns with Blockchain technology and what will need to be done to fight against hackers and scammers. He does a good job sharing with how you should handle buying cryptocurrencies without being a victim of a scam. He also talks about the protocols that will need to be put in place to keep attacks from happening.I found it to be interesting in the last chapter where he goes over the complex implementation of Blockchain. There are many different things that will need to be considered. He discusses laws, regulations, and so much more.

Two Stars
Not impressed. Full of typos, repetition and fluff. He could have written this book in 50 pages or less.

I'm so glad I decided to pick up this ebook
I'm so glad I decided to pick up this ebook. I first learned about cryptocurrency about 5 years ago and it's reputation wasn't great among clear net users. Now, there are many more types of currency other than bitcoin and it is becoming more and more accepted as a method of payment. This book does a great job of running through where to buy it, how to be safe, how block chains work and how this technology is going to be reinventing the future. Definitely recommend you pick this up!

Hodge-podge of superficial information
I got excited by the breadth of advertised material, which seemed to cover all I wanted to learn about. In reality, author reused a few recurring themes throughout the whole book, peppering them with publicly available facts. If you want any understanding of this technology, look elsewhere. It was the first book in my life I've returned.

Great, informative read!
I have been looking a lot into bitcoin and blockchain, but I honestly have been very confused about it all. I came across this book that has really helped me clear up a lot of questions I had. The book went into the history of it all, and explained it all in a more simple way than I’ve read in the past. Great read and very informative!

Factually inaccurate in some important areas
It describes blockchain too simply, omitting some very important details for any potential investors. Makes some outright wrong claims.

Poorly written, factually inaccurate - any other blockchain book must be better than this
Sadly, this is a candidate for the worst book I have ever read. From the opening page it is clear that this book sorely needed an editor, though it would need one with immense powers to save it. Apart from the poor grammar and weak spelling, sentences are often nonsensical. On top of being badly written, it is error ridden with almost everything about the wider world of finance mis-represented.The opening chapters are poor, with the the explanation of inflation proofing being laughable if I hadn't paid for this. But these are followed by seventy pages of claims of blockchain applications with no justification or explanation. Imagine something written by an idiot intern by translating random fanboy pages pulled from Google dressed up in the most hyperbolic language. The most remarkable part in here is when the author appears to be unable to tell the difference between blockchain and machine learning/AI.It gets marginally better in the 'Unravelling' bits of the various blockchains, but not much. Sadly, the step-by-step instructions on how to register on various websites may actually be the best written parts. The funniest point is when on one page the author states that you are safe from frauds because "Bitcoin leaves a trail in its blockchain that investigators can easily trace", but on the next page warns to take care because "practically impossible to get money back because Bitcoin has a semi-anonymous nature that makes it impossible". Well, which is it?I could go on, but it really doesn't get any better. I see it has lots of 5 star reviews on Amazon.com (which is why I bought it). These can only be fake - this book has no meaningful plus points that I can find. I'm about to go and see if I can get a refund, because right now I feel completely ripped off and want my money back.

Appalling
Badly written, loads of grammatical errors - needed a proof reader - impossible structure - loads of concepts remaining unexplained. A terrible book
