ATWORTH Empty Watercolour Tins Palette Paint Case Metal Box with 48 half pans for Watercolour Paints(Blue)

I had a collection of watercolour pans and tubes and was looking for something to put them all in. I liked the look of this palette with the empty pans, in which to dispense the tube paint.I was disappointed that the Winsor and Newton half pans were a little smaller than the pans supplied with the palette, which meant that they fell out of the palette easily. However, you could use some magnetic strips to stop this. Alternatively, I managed to lift out the paint pan from the W&N pan and slip it into the pan supplied with this palette, I wetted the bottom of the paint, in order to get it to stick.I can't understand why the pans need to be as loose as they are, a bit annoying as you have to hold the pan when getting the paint out. Might have to put a stopper at the end of the rows to stop this.Overall I am pleased with my purchase and glad I selected a larger size than I needed, so I have room for all the new colours I am sure to purchase, lol!TIPS: Write the colour on the side of the empty pan or you will be struggling to remember which colour is which!I also made a swatch card to fit in the lid which shows the colours in the palette.

Was initially skeptical ordering this but once delivered might I say rather quickly and very well padded the quality is first rate. I wanted something of this size to fit into a portable painting set and this fits in the case perfectly. Filled the half pans up and waiting for them to dry slowly then I'm off.I might buy a second one to have more selection. Very good value for money. I saw an American made small tin and it was horrendously expensive and found this while searching. If you're after one don't hesitate you won't be disappointed.

Arrived quickly and in good condition. Not absolutely top quality but I'm v happy with it. Bought one previously which has lasted me years and has now been passed on to friend. You can use it for 48 half pans or 24 full pans of paint. However I'm using mine for 12 pans Kuretake Gansai watercolour paint, also available on Amazon. I love Kuretake paints. They are sold in big pans that I can easily dip my 1 inch flat watercolour brush in for a big wash! You can just remove the loose metal paint holder from the bottom of this Atworth palette and slide in the bottom of the 12 pan Kuretake cardboard paint holder instead (just have to cut one short edge off for a good fit).

The first order was apparently delivered except it wasn't however, the second order was delivered almost by return. I really like the look of this palette. I was looking forward to setting up my paints in it. However, when it finally arrived there were a handful of small dents in the lid and a couple of scratches on the inner palette. I therefore decided to return it. Meanwhile I found a traditional black palette the same size on sale elsewhere for under £5 so decided to go with that purchase. Not as pretty but for the saving definitely worth it. However, I really think the Atworth one is a nice palette - shame about the damage......

Excellent item. I bought this for my husband and we were both very impressed with it. It’s very well manufactured, sturdy and great value for money. It’s also very attractive with a beautiful pattern on the outside. We would both recommend this Atworth palette.

This is a lovely little tin, well made and compact. I slotted in my favourite W&N pans and added some other colours/brands from tubes to make a set for general use and taking outside. The mixing areas give good spaces and the paint pools and moves nicely in them. The tin’s pretty too! I’m planning to get a couple more for different colour themes.Recommended!

The case itself is robust but the hinges on the fold out palette are weak and bend easily. If you don't want or need to use the palette it is good value although the pans move about a little more than I would like.

Really happy with this, bought it to store nail gel colours in when I'm doing nail art so that I can stop wasting colour in between uses. Gorgeous galaxy pattern on the outside, really nice to look at and really useful.
