maxxidigest+ Probiotic & Prebiotic Powder Supplement - Digestive & Immune Support for Cats, 7oz

We took in two cats displaced by the lava flows on Hawaii island in June 2018. They had initially been left behind at the house where they grew up as it was not immediately threatened. I don't doubt that this was done with good intention; however, I do believe their stress levels from hearing the eruption noise, the gases, and the earthquakes made put them in a state of distress such that they weren't eating or drinking normally. Upon arrival at our house, they were in greater distress than I could have imagined. We've been nursing them back to health, and I purchased these prebiotic/probiotics with enzymes because their immune systems and digestive track were in shambles. I currently give the product mixed in with their food once a day. One cat is finally making solid bowl movements, the other which is still showing other signs of distress, is having improved movements, but still working toward being normal. I will definitely continue to use this product, and I believe it is helping improve their condition immensely. I also believe it's helping improve their breath too.

Like others, we have a cat that has a tentative IBS diagnosis. He had loose and quite foul stools and frequently vomits. Yearly he looses so much weight, we have to take him in for a prednisone treatment which helps him put on weight but does nothing for the stools. I was looking for something like kaolin powder to at least firm up the stool, and found Maxxi! I read kc's comments and started our boy on Maxxi and pumpkin powder. 75% improvement! Then the hubs noticed that Maxxi had porcine pancreas in it, something our vet uses with the prednisone, so we tried adding 1/4 pancreas tablets per meal and he is now 100% and a respectable 7 lbs. He did not need a prednisone treatment this year! Based on this, diagnosis has been changed to IBS to pancreatitis. Thanks Maxxi and kc too!

One very sick kitty with IB. On daily Prednisone..nothing was helping..One week away from making a very difficult decision.Read all the reviews on Amazon for this product. Started very slowly adding a little to his new grain free food. I'll be honest, he wasn't thrilled at first with either. But I think that was because he was just miserable. After about 3 days I noticed the REALLY horrible odor from his diarrhea was pretty much gone. Still had loose stools but by day 5 he was up to pudding poop instead of the liquid diarrhea. Hugeimprovement. End of week 1 he hadn't gained back any weight but bowel issues definitely improved. Week 2 started adding in Organic powdered pumpkin...He loved it. Kept adding in Maxxi with new food and pumpkin. Stools really started firming up, and he gained half a lb.On week three right now. Much improved, stools getting firmer. and he gained a whole lb. So Maxxi will be forever part of his diet. Powdered pumpkin will be too because my other two kitties who are finicky eaters, have no issue with Maxxi and the pumpkin mixed in their food.Highly recommend Maxxi. Hopefully by week 4 he will have gained another lb.He seems much more his happy boy self.

I noted that one reviewer had a cat that refused to eat this product mixed with its food. Well, cats can be cats, so I decided to try it on my two cats. I had thought to use this probiotic to help my cats with hairball problems, but the first time I tried it, by mixing the product with a can of wet food, one cat refused to eat it at all, and the other ate it but wasn't her usual self; she ate slowly and deliberately instead of wolfing down her food as she always does. After a couple of weeks both cats were eating it OK, so I assumed both were fine. Then one had a number of throw-ups on and off over a several days which had us worried. Probiotics are supposed to keep that from happening, but our cat was having the opposite effect. I stopped giving the probiotic to her, and she ate fine with no problems. Huh. No more throw-ups, no hairball, just eat and go on about her business.Yes, I kept the probiotic in the refrigerator, as recommended, and I followed the dosage recommendation, even though my cats are considerably larger than average (one is 11 pounds, the other 14). So I'm back to using nothing and feel I made a big mistake in buying this stuff in the first place. I hope you have better luck, should you buy it, but my experience was not a good one.

My cats don't care for the flavor, but I hide it in their food and it works. "Steve" has a very sensitive stomach, and when I give him this daily, there are no more issues. Definitely worth the money!

I adopted my cat in 2017. He has always had digestive problems, and suffered from chronic diarrhea since we got him as a baby kitten from the SPCA. After trying everything imaginable (including the better known vet recommended Fortiflora, to no change) for three years (no worms) and having limited results with high fiber food for digestive upset, this product has fixed our cat’s gut problems. He has no problem with going to the bathroom anymore, whatsoever. This is the one to buy for your cat with chronic diarrhea. It’s like a miracle for this problem. Also he’s a picky eater, and he likes how it tastes, or at the very least will eat it without any resistance.

Had a cat that would sneeze occasionally so I gave this a try. She stopped sneezing after so it must work.

Unfortunately didn’t work for me, both of my cats got runny diarrhea from this supplement. I had high hopes for it but i guess i best for cats with constipation. Wasted $28.

It's bad! Both my cats got sick with diarrhea.

I got this after my cat had a very bad tummy. Goodness knows what she had eaten but had a real bad tummy which resulted in diarrhoea all over the house. When she started to slightly improve I gave her a scoop of this stuff as she is a big girl , what a huge difference this has made, I have never actually seen her like this before, shes so playful and massively improved, I'm very impressed 🙂
