8Pcs 8 mm Hidden Brass Barrel Hinges, 180 Degree Opening Angle Concealed Furniture Hinges for DIY Jewelry Box Hand Craft (8, 8mm)

I bought the 12mm size. I'm using these for cabinet doors installed in a van. I have them mounted in 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood. Some of the doors are 20"×26" with 3 of these hinges per door. The set screws on these hinges that are used to expand and wedge these into the holes, are small and fragile. It doesn't take much force to expand enough to hold them in place. Use a forstner bit to drill perfect holes for these. So far over 20,000 miles on the road with 16 of these hinges mounted in a van build, and no issues with them. I have a few spares just in case, but haven't had to replace any.

I used these for a display box I was building. The form, function, fit, and quality are excellent. I used magnets as my latch as well, so having all of the hardware hidden made for a very attractive result.

Missing several screws and one was defective. Difficult to find replacement screws that match. I had all ready installed and the only option was to return the entire package.

Great sturdy hinge just what I needed but no screws were included for securing

I love these hinges. They're fantastic for making little boxes where you do not want the hinges to be seen. They function perfectly, are easy to install, and look great. I haven't needed to use the screws I just drop a bit of CA glue into the hole then press the hinge in and done. Definitely get some Brad point bits so you can make sure you get the holes perfectly. I didn't have a problem with this although I did use Brad point bits but I could see using a regular bit being a problem if it wondered even a little.

Several broke when trying to install them. Can not recommend.

I tried to use these on a hard maple box....wow what a nightmare. Teeny tiny screws do not work at all. Even after predrilling the hole exactly the right size, the head of the screw would often snap off when trying to snug it down flush. Also, no matter what you do, the screws do not countersink enough to be flush with the surface so they don't prevent the lid from closing. I had to use a punch and hammer to countersink the screws (and snapped off screws) so my lid would close. The hinges are also quite fragile and break easily. After ruining one box that took two hours to make and also ruining two hinges in the process, I learned to carefully use epoxy instead to secure the hinges.
