Hadrian's Wall Path

I really cannot say enough good things about this book, so I will just say this: I have just completed the Hadrian's Wall Walk from East to West, and this little gem was in my hand for just about across all 85 miles. The early sections give a beautifully written and very digestible set of information (history, flora and fauna, kit list etc). The walking guide itself is accurate and easy to follow, broken down into with well-paced sections for a days walking at a time, and the last section of accompanying maps is excellent. All spiral bound and in a size suitable to slip into the side-pocket of your ruck-sack. I am not an experienced walker, and I have not read comparable guides for this walk, but all in all this is a well-priced, brilliantly conceived and superbly designed package. Look no further - this is the one I would recommend to anyone.

Very good although the scale of the map meant there was very little detail ... So you need an OS map or something similar. But a brilliant guide that made every step interesting. Definitely West to East !

Great book for the walk.

Map is very useful. Other parts of the book OK, needs more detail. The direction, west to east was the one I wanted other guides seem to be east to west. Will put it to practical test later this year.

Great book for planning this trip, can plan over 5, 6 or 7 days, the map with it is marked out in 5 mile intervals.
