Funko Pop! Movies: Jurassic Park - Dr. Ian Malcolm Collectible Figure

I apparently didn't act quickly enough to get the one with the name misspelled on the box - such a fail on my part as I'm sure that would be a collector's item.The box is intact, with all information accurate. For a mass produced figure, the paint job isn't too bad - there are some spots where the black bled over onto his skin, but it's within tolerable range. His glasses are slightly tinted, so you can still see his eyes through them. The silver painted accents like his necklace and belt buckle are done well, as is his turquoise jewelry.This is my first Funko Pop! figure, and it may well be the only one I get because The Goldblum. I'm satisfied that everything is as it should be. I will be having long, deep conversations with myself about Chaos Theory while he looks on smugly knowing that I haven't anywhere near the concept of it that he does.(Pardon me for a moment while I geek out here, but book Ian Malcolm is every bit as awesome as movie Ian Malcolm and deserves some love, too."...But, on the whole, I find fashion even more tedious than sports.""Dr. Malcolm," Hammond explained, "is a man of strong opinions.""And mad as a hatter," Malcolm said cheerfully.)

His name is misspelled all over the box. His glasses are not tinted as shown in the image on the page. The paint job is terrible. His hairline isn't painted all the way and his glasses are missing black paint on the bottom of the rims. There is also a huge smudge of silver paint on his crotch below his belt. I complained to Funko about it, but they sent me a canned response. Funko needs to fire their copy editor and get someone that can actually cross-reference a name with the book it came from.

I am the biggest Jeff Goldblum fan in the world, and I was a little disappointed by this POP! The glasses are not tinted like they show in the picture. I guess it's not a huge deal, but it's kind of what makes the character, you know?

I've been collecting Pops for several months now and have purchased most of them from Amazon(which has been a pleasant experience for the most part).I was excited to see the Jurassic Park vinyls because I've always loved the movie...but unfortunately this particular pop was somewhat of a disappointment.The box(which any collector knows is just as important as the vinyl),had scratches on the front.The pop itself is decent but crudely painted in certain places.Overall,its not the best pop I've received,though it's certainly not the worst. Given the low price,it's not really worth the return,but if I had to do it over,I would've ordered it from somewhere else.

Ordered as a gift, the item arrived and i opened shipping box it looked good, so I set it aside and waited for my daughters Birthday to give it to her. I removed the figure's box and started to wrap it and when I was moving it around I saw the glasses were broken in half. Well past returning it, and i should have inspected it more carefully. Now I have a half-blind Ian. Sad really. ; )

So happy to have a Funko Pop of Jeff Goldblum in my favorite role of his! The character's name is spelled incorrectly and his glasses are a little crooked, but I was already aware both of those things from reading other reviews prior to purchasing, so I'm still giving 5 stars. Box was in great condition (other than the misspelled name) but I don't keep the boxes anyway. He looks great on my desk! I've included a picture of him in the box which shows the incorrectly spelled name and crooked glasses.

My husband just absolutely loves loves loves Jurassic Park. We bought all of the Funko Pops for them when they came out. They were packaged very well and the boxes were not damaged at all. We take ours out of the boxes and display them, although I know a lot of people keep them in the original boxes. These are a great addition to my collection. They sit front and center on my bookshelf.

The item is the figure expected but this is 1 of 2 pop figures I've received in 2 days that had a ruined box. I bought it new through Prime. It was partially open, the corners were a little crunched and there was a big piece of tape from the bottom up the back to the top holding it closed, so someone knew it was damaged. I usually keep them displayed in the box so it was disappointing to receive like this. I have received other pop figures in the past that arrived totally fine, so I'm not sure what's going on with these two recent ones. :(

The figure was in good condition, had some dust on it but overall good. The box was in horrid condition. It was covered in tape, it had so many imperfections it seemed it was thrown from a train at high speeds. The price of the product was around £5 But with the amount of damage to the box it was overpriced. I am one who collects POP! figures and display them with their boxes but due to the damage I'm not sure what to do. If you wish to buy this figure of Jeff Goldblum I recommend not buying it from the person I did. The only reason this gets a 3 star is because the figure was ok and it was Jeff Goldblum.

My Mum loved this Christmas present.I like to imagine that when shown the pop viynl of himself, it went something like:Funko: Do you like the new figure we created Mr Goodblum?Jeff: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

I bought this for my boyfriend who absolutely adores Jeff Goldblum. He was over the moon when I gave it to him. The detailing is great and he is adorable. Funko pops are such a great, easy and personalised gift.
